  • Well done on using tesco points for birthday presents, mine will have to be used for food shopping, things are really tight, i know everyone on mse says use them for other things, but whats the point of a magazine subscription or days out voucher when there is no food in the cupboard, needs must and all that.
  • Hi Pink, welcome to my diary! Im glad ive managed to inspire you! Do you have a diary. I do try stalk as many as I can for inspiration but dont often get chance to post on them.

Pennywise, I see exactly where you're coming from on that one! Its only cos I need these pressies why im doing it! Means I can get them sorted with no cost to me really!

Well I was reading back my own diary earlier, cant believe I started it on 2nd March, that has gone far too fast for my liking.
Need to really start budgeting for everything so that is my new years resolution. The last thing I want is to receive an MOT bill that I dont have money to pay for in June. So as from January, I will be putting away something each month towards. This is a big step for me as ive never done it before but always wanted to :T!

  • No mummy i think its briliant you can use them for presents, just wish i could thats all.
  • Do you ever think these vouchers seem to pop through the letterbox just at the right time? Ive had months where ive worried about where the next lot of shopping money is coming from and then something like this will happen! It may not be a lot but you can get the things you need to tide you over til next payday or something!

I also wonder when my luck might just run out with this lol!! x

Hello, no i dont have a diary though i often think i should start one but my debts are quite small compared to most. my real problem is not getting into MORE debt. we moved into our dream home in March but have had to hit the credit cards to start kitting it out.

we havent even got toilet roll holders yet!

I use my c/card vouchers for cinema tickets so on a rainy day in the school holidays we have something to do. :T

  • Hi Pink, I suppose this is a good place to hang about and get ideas to not get into debt!
Have you thought about surveys to earn more? Or even build up vouchers and order dream things from Amazon for your dream home?

The cinema tickets is a good plan im assuming your children are that little bit older than do ask for everything in sight! My 2 are still young so a packet of 10p Haribos will satisfy them haha :rotfl:!!
DD1 is 4 and DD2 is nearly 2. Need to get DD2 out of nappies now, that will save me about £10 a month!

Lol yes little miss independant is 12 and the boy is 9. i send them to the corner shop for cheap sweets beforehand so we dont have to pay cinema prices. by the time we've claimed our car parking back in the cinema it makes a cheap day out.

hadnt thought of using the vouchers for amazon ...will have to have a look at that as there is quite a few things on there i like at the mo!

seem to be spending a fortune on school shoes and uniforms now though. i let my daughter have a cheap pair of shoes in sept and they're already ruined!

  • Just a thought do you have a cineworld near you? On a Saturday morning they do movies for juniors for £1 each! Its only 3 select movies, but if your kids would enjoy them then its worth a shot. Think its 10am Saturday morning.

Ipsos is a good survey site. Ive earned 2 £10 Amazon vouchers with them since about July/August! Ive going to use them for my Nephews DVD's for Christmas!! Next year im going to save them all up through the year too x x
