    Morning All,

Thanks for all your kind words, you lovely bunch :D. The sun has got his hat on... hip hip hip hooray haha!!

Sooo... yesterday I spent a small fortune .
£96 - Tesco shop (apparently mine was the biggest order of the morning )
    £63 - petrol
    £20 - Tesco on presents
    £40 - farmshop
    £14 - McDonalds
£17 - nails (own spending money)

So that leaves me £30 a week for shopping over the next 3 weeks, thats how much I always seem to have so not bad.

I submitted my expression of interest at 10.15 last night. At 9.30 just as I was about to send it the laptop decided to overheat and die .
Then I couldnt get to sleep, thank god the kids decided on a lie in again :T.

Today, ive already got a load of washing out and have hoovered the bottom floor. Also just done the car tax online as that runs out Tuesday.

Today will be NSD5 and we have some friends coming over for lunch so the car also wont move today.

Cant believe my week off is nearly over already. Hope everyones ok xx

    Morning Diary,

Did everyone enjoy the opening ceremony? It did drag on a bit but I watched some of it and even saw someone a few minutes in that I went to school with.. very proud!!

So yesterday was NSD5 woohoo! We didnt leave the house all day, managed to tidy round, get 2 loads dry and have a friend round for lunch. The kids played out all day and that meant we got a 7.30 lie in this morning :j.

Today im getting my hair done this morning, thinking of having it all chopped off.. well to about shoulder length. Its really long now and I keep getting it caught in my seatbelt and handbag :rotfl:. I do like it long though... hmm decisions decisions!
DH will take the girls to DD1's swimming lesson and then she has a party at 2pm which I will pay DD2 in to.

Nothing else to report really. Oh DH had a letter from Bcard to say they have upped his credit limit to over £11,500.. what a joke. Because he hasnt been spending on it but paying it off they have to try and tempt you... well it aint happening!

Thats all from me. Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

  • Morning mummy, I did watch the opening ceremony, I did think whatever Danny Boyle is taking I'd like some please. I was getting a bit confused at times there seemed to be too much going on for me. LOL

Sorry to hear about the job (I haven't been on here much this week...ooops) but I'm a firm believer in fate, and like other people have said something better will be just around the corner.

Decisions, decisions over your hair. Enjoy the pampering.

We used to have that with our CCs, I can't blame them for all our spending but when they increase the limit and you are already in a downward spiral it can be so tempting.

    Have a good day.xx

    Afternoon Diary,

    NSD6 today woohoo!!!

The weather is absolutely pants here today, ive washed a load of pinks which are going to have to be put in the TD boooo!!!
This morning we took the kids along to a local museum which they enjoyed. It was free entry and parking and killed a few hours.
Back home now with a chicken in the oven.

Yesterday was a spending day. I had my hair chopped off eeekkkk!! Not sure I like it tbh, its all one length so might have to have some layers put in it next time I go to thin it out a bit.

Haha Alice loving your Danny Boyle comment, some parts were confusing.

I am so tired I feel like I need a lie down! Went to bed around 10.30 and the kids didnt get up til 8. Maybe thats my problem too much sleep?!

So I need to go and prep the veg for tea, also the yorkshire puddings and the cauliflower cheese. Really looking forward to it.

Tomorrow im hoping will be NSD7. Going to take the kids to stay and play in the morning and probably just hang around here in the afternoon.

Think thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Just got back from stay and play with the girls, they have had a lovely morning and are now playing out. Looks like im for NSD7 :j. Weve got everything we need.
Well back to work this week which means the start of my new hours which is 2 hours from home Mon and Tues and full days in the office Weds-Fri. Since the kids are playing out I might aswell make a start on todays 2 hours.

Ive been through my emails and got rid of the junk, just need to start tackling the other stuff now.

After my post yesterday the sun came out so I put my washing out and it dried :T, so glad I didnt rush off to the TD with it.
Today ive done a load of darks and it stuck it out. Its quite clear at the mo but may change so will see.

Last night I put 2 things on ebay. One of which was a pair of doodles that were hardly worn by DD1 and are too narrow for DD2. This got me thinking about school shoes and I am currently watching a pair for both girls BNIB. Fingers crossed I can get them at a bargain price.

Think thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xx

    Hi Mummy,

I hope you get a bargain on the shoes. I buy all my makeup off ebay now as it saves me a couple of quid.

How are you liking your new hair now? I daren't have mine cut too much when I go the the hair dressers as once it gets past my shoulders it grows really slowly.

    Hi Livvy,

    Fingers crossed on the shoes.

I am used to my hair now but I am thinking I preferred it longer! Il have to grow it for about 18m to get it back to that haha!!

Well since my last post the kids are still playing out! I keep checking on them every 5 mins, they are only in the front but still with them being young.
I have completed my 2 hours work and make a massive pan of bolognaise which will make a lasagne from and tonights tea of bolognaise.
Also made the kids some jelly for puddings this week.

Dont think ive anything else to report xx

    Morning Diary,

I am very disappointed this morning but I dont know why as I expected it really. Basically I am out with the girls on Sat night and then DH announced he was also going out. Its rare we go out so I asked my dad on Sunday if he would have them. But the truth is he works 48 hours a week and I dont think he really wanted to do it has he had them a week last Saturday but was too polite to say so.
So I thought id ask my mum, dont even know why I bothered cos I knew what the answer would be. She works in a shop a few hours a week and just refuses point blank to have them. In the past when DD2 has been stressing us out ive been practically begging her to have them and she just wouldnt. Now really the one person you should be able to rely on where your children is concerned is your mums isnt it. Ive ignored her text back dont know what to reply tbh!

Anyway, its DH's payday today so the joint account looks lovely. Ive just transferred the car tax and uniform money back to myself.
Think im going to pop to the local retail park this morning and get a few bits from there for DD's uniforms.

Weather is absolutely pants so not sure I will get my washing out today. Will wait until lunch and then if no improvement put it in the TD.

Think thats all from me xx

  • Hi mummy, sorry to hear about babysitting problems.

Have you any friends with sensible teenage daughters that could babysit, I know it would cost money, but i'm sure £10 a huge bar of chocolate and a dvd would cover it.

I was thinking the other day about how I made a fortune when I was a teenager babysitting (20 years ago), Tuesday nights I babysat for a family with 3 girls who had a shop, I got £5 and left bars of choc/coca cola and could choose a dvd from the shop. Friday night another family with a boy and girl, children were angels, they paid me £6 as they didn't get in until 1- 2 am and always got me a frozen pizza, then occasionally I babysat next door neighbours kids in the holidays and I worked all day sat and 2 days in the school holidays at a local tea room, god I was minted back then.

    Sorry I have waffled on.

    Hi Pennywise,

I dont know anyone with a teenage daughter tbh! I used to baby sit too, cant remember how much I used to get now.
I text my mum back saying its ok il ask my dad and left it at that. She text back saying she was joking and she will have them... !!!!!!! Maybe she felt guilty or sommat?!

Well just been into town and what initially felt like a waste of time actually turned quite productive! Spent the rest of my uniform budget though! Luckily I only have skirts to get which I was planning on buying with my Mr T's points anyway.

    £8 - Next on tights for DD2
£17 - TK Maxx for a coat which should have been £65 for DD1
£34 - Clarks on shoes for DD2... she would choose the most expensive pair wouldnt she
    http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20349829
£18 - Ebay on a brand new pair of Clarks for DD1

So thats them mostly kitted out. Will retry the shoes on DD2 just before the 28 days just incase shes grown. Doubt she will do though.

    Right best get on xx
