Morning Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up. Well thats the last Monday get up done. My girls will still be up at normal time next week but at least we dont have to be dressed and out by 8.40!
Thanks for popping in Alice and Pennywise, glad your kids got to play out too.
So today.. Ive just put a load of washing in to peg out. The weather is overcast but since il be around most of the day il take my chances.
Ive got some minced steak out for a lasagne for tomorrow's tea, will make that later on.
Just the usual other Monday stuff to do.
Me and DD2 are going to pop to Mr T's after dancing as we need a few things so might aswell stock up for the week ahead.
Right best go get dressed! Have a lovely day everyone xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning Diary,
Tried posting last night but firefox kept crashing every 2 mins stupid thing! So I gave up and caught up on sky+.
Well productive busy day yesterday, no more mental Mondays.
Had some good news yesterday, I sent my CV for a job on Sunday and they rang me up yesterday morning at 9.30am offering me an interview on Thursday :j. Il keep you posted but it sounds good.
Re my job here, the job descriptions have been circulated and some of the job I cant do as it stipulates HR and im finance. Theres only a small proportion I cant do but not sure I would even get shortlisted. This job would only be worth while if I could do full time and if I had to job share this wouldnt make me better off financially or with the redundancy in June. So I may apply and only take it if offered full time, I think I already knew that in my head anyway.
Nothing to report moneywise, although roll on payday next Thursday.
Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Glad to hear things are less frantic on mondays now. I'm so looking forward to the holidays, not only a holiday from work but a break from all the to-ing and fro-ing with the kids, bless 'em.
Your paydays seem to come round quick LOL, I get paid just after you so will also be on countdown......shouldn't wish our lives away should we really.
Good luck on the job front. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Morning Diary,
Well with all this going on at work there is such an atmosphere in the office. I keep leaving with a headache, so ive decided to keep my head down and try ignore of the sniping thats going on.
They dont feel like they come round quick for me Alice :rotfl:!! Im the same though wishing the month away to get to the next month and pay more off and start the grocery budget again... how exciting!
Ive got a little plan in my head for IF I should get the other job!
Basically I dont want to lose redundancy here but weve got a long notice period. I only work part time so could work for the other company on my days off. This would bring me around an extra £800ish which would pay off my 2 smallest debts taking me sub £12k!
Then id save my redundancy towards a holiday and top up our emergency fund to the £1500. This would give us £1100 towards a nice holiday next year.
Thats my plan anyway, fingers crossed it comes off!!
Catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummy,
I hope your plan comes off for you.
I think its been the longest month ever this month, its still a week until payday aaargh!
Ignore everyone at work, people turn nasty when a situation like yours comes up. I've been through it myself and it brings out the worst in everyone.
Soon be the weekend.

Evening Diary,
Interview day today... der der deeeerrrr!! It went well but she has others to see aswell so we will see.
I am soooo fuming today . There is a girl on the street who is older than both my DD's. She is so selfish over her trampoline and always asks DD2 to get off if theres too many on, never any of the other kids. Last week DD2 ended up smacking her for being mean which I dont condone but in my head thought it serves you right you spoilt little !!!!!!! Tonight theyve been playing out and I could hear DD2 crying, so I popped round to see what was going on and she had told DD2 that she couldnt get on but all the other kids were on bouncing around. Well ive gone off on one, I am totally sick of her picking on my little DD. A bit annoyed with DD1 as I told her last week she needs to stand up for her little sister and she just ignored it. I was so mad for poor DD I could have cried honestly, I cant be doing with selfish spoilt brat kids.
Anyway rant over!! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning Diary,
Cant believe I havent posted since Thursday!! Had a busy time since, but it has gone seriously fast.
Friday the kids slept out at my dads and me and DH enjoyed a chinese!! Yesterday we went off to London for a day trip. Tickets were purchased through some reward system so didnt cost us anything and we were first class so the food was all complimentary. It was nice to experience but dont think id be paying for it myself id be going standard class :rotfl:.
We took £100 out of savings and I think we did well. We spent £30 on lunch in a little Italian restaurant which was delicious btw! £40 on presents for the kids, which were books and a London tshirt from the Disney store. So weve come back with change aswell!!
If id have had the money I would have spent a pretty penny. Showed DH a Links of London bracelet I really might like and also saw some lovely uggs. Im going to ask my parents for money for my birthday which is coming up and save up for some. I will definately appreciate them after having to save for them.
Today ive already got a load of washing out. It is overcast but breezy so the washing should dry. Ive also got another load in the machine at the minute. Were off to a Christening party at around 12pm so thats lunch sorted.
Im off next week and got lots of cheap meet ups with friends weve not seen in a while. Payday Thursday :j.
Think thats all from me xxMummytogirls x0 -
Good Morning,
Sounds like you had a great day out. How lovely to spend some quality time together. Enjoy the christening party.

Evening diary,
Well today has been a LSD, spent around £9 on drinks at the party. The kids had a good time and I feel like weve done something nice together now!
Had 2 loads dry on the line, probably could have made it 3 if id have put another wash on before we left the house. Ill put a wash on tonight and then if its nice again tomorrow il put another on in the morning.
Just had some leftover chinese for my tea!
Also done the meter readings and weve really come under our usual fornightly usage at £27.50! Now £57 in credit and once weve got through this week and the next payment goes in we should have around £40 in credit.
Think thats all from me! Hope everyones had a lovely weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning Diary,
Well its day 1 of the summer holidays and the kids have already been arguing . Ive told them anymore and they will go straight to their rooms, seems to have done the trick... for now!!
So today...
Ive already got 1 load pegged out and 1 load in the machine :T.
Need to go get dressed in the minute and then get the girls sorted as we are going to stay and play from 9.30am, will pass by the post office and post a competition with the local council off.
Then after lunch we are going to see a friend weve not seen in a while.
Ive already got the tea out of the freezer, which will be sausage, hm chips and beans.
Ive got my to do list on the go and already marked one item off, not bad for 8.20am!!
Hope everyones ok, cant believe how fast the weekend went xxMummytogirls x0
