    Evening Diary,

Well the weather hasnt been too bad today... until about 1 hour ago when it started bucketing down! At least the kids got to play out all day.

Had my nails done and im not 100% happy with them, I think ive been to someone who is exceptionally good in the past and nothing seems to live up to her! Have made another appt, not sure on what to do as shes a neighbour! Might go back next time but then make my excuses and not go back.

Last night we went to the school BBQ which was held indoors due to really bad weather! It was quite good, plus the kids had reached a treat on their sticker charts so I combined this with the BBQ money, gave them £2 and when it was gone.. gone. They came home with 40p change each :rotfl:.

Tomorrow we are going to some friends for an indoor BBQ! DH has baked a chocolate cake to take along and we will take some icecream aswell. His chocolate cakes are immense!!

Alice, will the carnival be rearranged? At least you saved the money you would have spent!!! Joking apart this weather seriously is getting on my nerves on!

We were naughty and had fish and chips for lunch! Im still full so will probably have some cereal later on.

Oh and ive just updated my signature. How depressing that weve only paid off £30 due to interest. Seriously need to get our plan of action up and running once uniforms etc have been bought.

    Catch up soon xx

Oh meant to say we have been overpaid by tax credits by £40! Finally they will be stopping the payments after months of me telling them.
Apparently they will take the money out of our next award... what if we dont get another award?! Im going to look into xx

  • Hi Mummy,

I've heard the carnival will be rearranged, I know what you mean about the weather. We have got so much water around here it's quite frightening. But at least it was dry yesterday and today so far.

What a pain about the tax credits, hope you get it sorted. I'm going to post the form to them tomorrow, I've given up trying to get through on the phone.

And £30 off your debt is still £30 in the right direction. :)

    Have a good Sunday.xx

    Morning Diary,

OMG I am absolutely fuming this morning, why does nothing ever go right or smoothly?! Well I ordered the girls uniform last week and it was out for delivery today with myhermes. Logged on to track it and apparently it was delivered to my house at 10.26am. Well it hasnt and theres no card to say they have tried to deliver. So ive just tried to call and because ive ordered through a retailer they cant speak to me ive got to contact the retailer. !!!!!! is that all about, I feel about to explode at this sh!tty system. I swear they just best get to my house pronto or im going to flip! So rang the retailer, they havent answered so ive left a voicemail.

Alice, I know but I just want to get more paid off! Im going to try and shift something around to 0% if I can get accepted for one. That way we would get more paid off.

Nothing else to report! Just checked the bank account, everything ok there.
Oh did my meter readings too, we have used £30 in 2 weeks so slightly less than we have been. Currently £85 in credit so im thinking by the time the next payment goes in we will have £40 credit built up.

Right think thats it from me xx

    Hi Mummy,
You're right, nothing ever does go smoothly! I find myself saying the same thing every time I order something. I hope those uniforms turn up. I ordered DD a pair of kicker shoes for school today, she has had some boots since last September and because they are patent you can't see the scuffs...so got her some patent shoes hoping she gets another 10 months out of them.

I must try and work out how much money I have spent from meter readings. I read them last week so I will have a look again today, see how much they have gone up and try and work it out, you are an expert at it now...well done on your £85 credit.

    Morning Diary,

Well the uniform did turn up at 8pm last night! Apparently the lady had clicked on the wrong address as though she had delivered the item. Shes the usual lady, if id have known it was her I wouldnt have panicked!
DD2 was excited and must have been listening for the door as she should have been asleep. She ended up coming down and trying on her uniform bless her!!

Livvy, ive always avoided patent as I thought it would scuff worse! Might have to try it.
Re the meter readings im with scottish power and I enter my readings online and they calculate it for me!

Just checked the bank account, not sure why as nothing has changed since yesterday and I know it hasnt :rotfl:!!
Weve got a meeting at school this afternoon to meet DD1's new teacher. Going to have to take both kids with me as its 4-5pm. Il come home first and put jackets in for tea.
Should be NSD1 today, cant believe its taken me til the 10th of the month to get a NSD, totally ridiculous!

Anyway, best get off and get shoes and coats on ready for school.

Have a nice day everyone xx

    Evening diary,

Soooo its looking like Thursday will be D-Day on finding out where I am with my job . Totally fed up of the place so kind of hoping the decision is made for me and theres no job in the structure for me. Thats not very MSE I know just sick to death of all this p!ssing around reapplying for jobs every few years. Feel like taking my money and running. Will have a 30 day consultation period and then 6 weeks notice.. taking me to 21st September.

So tonight ive applied for 2 jobs! Just quick fire off the CV type ones, dont have the time to commit to full on application forms until I really have to.

Feeling totally pee'd off with a so-called friend who just makes you feel like the worst mother in the world. Had to take both DD's to the transition meeting at school and got called a bad mother by someone cos I didnt come prepared with DS's and colouring books. Well excuse me considering id been at work and not been home. Felt like telling her fcuk right off!! Sorry this post is making me realise how much of a mood im in tonight! Could start an argument in an empty room type of nights!

Dont think ive much else to report on. DD's got a party on Saturday and ive just looked at Mr T and seen a lovely wood works jewellery bow which they make and decorate themselves for £5.99. Will try and pick one of those up when I do my shopping tomorrow.

Oh today has been NSD1 woo flipping hoo!!! At last!!

Right best get on! Catch up soon xx

    Hi Mummy,

Aw good luck with your job, sometimes you get stuck in a rut, you'll probably find that you will go on to bigger and better things once you have that push you need, otherwise you just plod on sticking with what you know because its easiest. I am sure something good will come of it what ever happens.

Grrr to friend, its so hard being a working parent running around trying to fit everything in. We can't be expected to remember everything...it wasn't fair of her to say anything. Did she share her kids toys? I hope so.

    Afternoon diary,

Just eating my lunch so having a quick catch up.
Have brought a tin of soup but I didnt fancy it so used my bus money (I walked today!) to buy a lovely sandwich from a shop down the road.
Today wont be a NSD anyway as I need to go to Mr T's tonight and spend roughly £30.

Need to take my mums ironing back and she will pay me for that. I have decided instead of fritting this money away I will start popping it in a little tin. I think im saving for the kids birthdays incase I am out of work.

Livvy, her kids werent there as her DH works self employed so could just pop home for an hour grrrr .
Thanks for the input on the job front, I do definately need a push! Tomorrow will tell.

Dont think ive anything else to report.

    Evening Diary,

Well D Day has been and gone. We are all now officially on our 30 day consultation period, although its going to be more like a 5-6 weeks cons period as the Director is on holiday when it should end. Notices will be issued 23rd August which takes me to Thursday 4th October.
Basically there was a structure announced with 3 jobs on it . No job for me... decision made for me.
5 mins after the meeting a recruiting agency called to say they are submitting my CV for a job. So we will see if anything comes of it.
Feeling calm at the moment, will get my head down looking for jobs and see what happens. Theres nothing more we can do. Weve had it al before where we have stressed and no good has come from the stressing so trying to remain calm.

Oh and today has been NSD2 :j.

Think thats all from me, off to do a little job search xx
