    Hi Mummy

Glad the sickness has gone, there's alot of colds and sore throats going round near us at the moment.

Our heating is still off at the moment, I'm currently wearing a big thick cardi with my feet on a hot water bottle, DH says that the heating isn't going on until mid November but I think it will be on before then! We have a log burner so thats lit on an evening which makes the lounge like a furnace so can't complain too much, but then the rest of the house feels really cold and I never feel like going up to bed and leaving the warmth behind.

Hope that the childcare issues have calmed down, take care xxx

Evening diary, just popping in for a quick catch up.

Hasnt the weather been rubbish?! I know its October so should be expecting it but its so cold out. Got absolutely soaked through on the school run, desperately need a new coat but cant really afford one at this moment in time.

We are still without heating. I really wanted to put the heating on last night but with the kids in bed resisted and got a blanket instead!! I was convinced we would need it on tonight but its really not bad at all. So we will go on through the week and see how we go. The weather has predicted ground frost in a morning towards the back end of the week so we will take it as it comes.

Hi Choo, thanks for popping in. The log burner sounds lovely :D. Childcare issues are sorted now thank you.

Well ive turned my attentions back to my surveys. Really need to keep up with them. So ive caught back up again today and this evening.

Went to farmfoods after work and spent £5 on bread (3 loaves of Hovis), biscuits, milkshakes for the kids since they were in tow and mini cheddars.

Ive also booked my car in for the heater to be fixed since its getting colder. Its going in next Weds on payday. Then il pick it up early before getting DH and call into farmfoods. They have such good offers on bread, toilet roll etc im going to get what I can from there. Plus we had some vouchers posted through for £5 off a £50 shop so I might stock up on a few bits in there.

Think thats about all from me. Hope your all ok xx

  • Hi Mummy,
Wow...I can't believe you haven't had your heating on, well done! Its been so cold today I have put it on for an extra hour (thats 3 hours today eek), still it used to be on all day every day so hopefully still reduce my energy useage.

Glad everyone is fit and well in your house now. DD has lost her cough on a night, its still showing its face during the day, but at least we are getting some sleep at last YEY! Would be great if we could store sleep wouldn't it?

    xx

    Hi Livvy,

Ended up back on here after doing some of my sage course and thought it would be rude not to post!!
Our house is just fantastic re the heat. If its sunny its great as we have floor length windows and the sun beaming in heats it all up.

We have decided to put the timer on for 1 hour in the mornings starting from tomorrow. It can be a bit chilly in the morning in the dining room since weve got french doors in there. I think we will just knock the heating on in the evenings for the kids baths as id hate for them to be getting out cold. Although saying that ive had a hot bath and im sat here with my pj's on but my dressing gown is open so im not all wrapped up! DH was anchoring after putting the heating on at about 7.30 but the kids were in bed so I said no (it makes all my nose and throat dry if I have it on in bed so would hate for them to be the same). He fell asleep shortly after and is now in bed so im pleased we didnt do it.
The thing what annoys me is when I say lets put it on he says no, however when he says we can thats fine. I dont think so mate!!!!!

Im glad DD's cough is slowing f'ing off!! Coughs are very annoying!!!!! xxx

  • I'm the same on a night, get awful headaches if I wake up and have been too hot in the night. I normally have a window open a bit in my bedroom but with the wind its a bit too noisy at the moment.

OH always complains its too hot in the house but then he sits there in jumpers, I can't stand being too wrapped up. Our french doors are at the back of the living room and I think thats what makes it cold, although if the sun comes in it gets boiling...not much use in the winter as the sun has gone to the other side of the house by the time we get in from work.

I think men just like to think they are in charge, OH starts to get all fidgity if he isn't sat on the sofa with all the remote controls lined up.

    Morning diary,

Its looking a bit brighter here today. Was just thinking my diary is turning into a daily weather report :rotfl:!!!

Well we had the heating to come on for 1 hour this morning and it did warm up and take the chill off downstairs. 19th October, not too bad for turning the heating on id say.

Livvy, haha to DH with the remotes, they like to take charge dont they!! Not in this house !!

Well its payday next Wednesday and im dying for it to get here!! Ive not really got any money left now, got enough for bus fares, a few snack bits that we need for the kids, enough petrol in the car and meals planned into next week. Plus im off Mon, Tues next week which means I wont be spending any money then. But I just want payday to come to reduce my figure a bit more!
It does feel like its gone really fast this time round.

Still no quidco though! I looked in their FAQ's section and they reckon they are already on the case so we will see how long it take to get it for me then. Its been over 6 months now. The policy will be over by the time they pay out to me.

Oh ive just remembered I need to plan my washing now. I always do one wash load a night and hang it on the radiators ready for them coming on in the mornings. Since thats happening now I can start with the washing :D.

Right best get sorted for work and school. Catch up soon xx

  • Hello diary,

Just popping in quickly. We had the heating on just for 30 mins last night on 19 degrees just whilst the kids had their bath. We had to switch it off as the house got really hot really quickly! It stayed warm all night. I also got some washing dry on the radiators this morning :D.

Cant flipping wait until payday next week either!!!

Just updated my survey positions. I was going to leave the money in opinion world, but after reading Choogirls diary about one survey company shutting her account down I dont think il bother!! Maybe il draw it out and save it in my £2 coin tin!!

Think thats all from me! Hope your all ok xx
