I was talking to my gran about hot flushes today and she said and I quote "Menopause was easy I had one hot flush and then it was all over, I didn't even dry up" I swear you could have knocked me down with a feather!
Ha ha ha!! I love it when people you think are really prim and proper just come out with things like that! :rotfl::jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -

a little update, my oh officially gets made redundant on April 9th though they are paying them til mid May, been looking at options etc so not managed to do much money making or to get on here last few days, all very stressful and god they were not lying when they said not many jobs about, mostly temp and variable hours which may be fine if you live at home with parents or are single and childless but not so great if you have mortgage and bills to pay and kids to support - my oh has been offered another job where long term prospects could be good but intially its temp and no set hours though likely to be around 30 a week, am thinking that we may need to take the risk for longer term gain and that I may need to take on a pt job in meantime to act as a buffer, but there are no pt jobs in my area where the hours are set days....and as I would need to use registered childcare for my little one I cant see how I am gonna get anything.....anyone else in similar situation? Id like to register se and ebay lots but dont think I can rely on that at moment and feels so scary not having any stability in the equation....0

Huge hugs victoria, that sucks. I know mum got made redundant 12 months ago now and she luckily walked straight into another full time job but she has to travel an hour there and an hour home everyday and with the cost of fuel rising its getting more and more difficult. It'll work out, always has a way of doing.0
