Hi Laura, yeah I know the bookmarks you mean. To start a good website is About.com there's some good beginners tutorials on there, also YouTube as it's lot easier to learn by watching someone. You'll need pliers (roundnose and flat) wire cutters, wire or headpins depending on what you're making and beads. Good luck with it, practice makes perfect especially with loops!

Hi Saucy, glad OH is home, hope you feel better later hun :-)

Thanks I'll have a look on there I have pliers and wire cutters and a few beads already. Off to see what ebay has to offer lol.

I often read these tips by Darren Rowse - he's an Australian top blogger and has loads of great ideas on his site. I like him because he's not all silly talk about earning millions of dollars from your blog - he's a bit more down to earth.
I have had this link in my inbox for a while - been meaning to share - 13 Quick Tips is worth a read and then if you have a read at the rest of the site - you may find some inspiration.

I'll have a look at that soon as well I might pop it in the favorites and look another day though....... supposed to be doing uni work at the moment :rotfl:

  • Hi Amber
    I have 2 cats a girl and a boy
I had the girl first ,they were both rescued strays
I think the boy bullies the queen, shes neurotic and scared anyway
Well one of them or both have been using places other than the litter tray
how do I stop it its driving me nuts
they seem to like to pee in bags and have ruined my mother in laws suitcase when she visited:o
My OH got the male cat and wont have it thats hes the culprit
it wasnt a problem before he came
I do think its her as well though
Im starting not to like them much

first thoughts if it were my two would be to lock them in the kitchen where the litter trays are in the passage and keep an eye on who does what, definitely lock them out of any rooms where you dont want them messing

My opinion - you need to clean the areas they have "been" in before thoroughly. Their noses are really keen so you need to use something to get rid of the smell - I've had bicarbonate of soda recommended, and also biological washing powder, though I've not tried the second one. Then, once it's cleaned, you need to put their food where they were going - they don't like to mess where they eat. After a while they will forget about that place and hopefully use their trays. Oh, and make sure their trays are cleaned out every day.

I'd say that the female is unsettled - maybe you could keep them in separate areas of the house when you are not around to supervise?
