Just realised earlier that although i'm gaining lots of things from this thread (& they are better things than money), money hasn't really been one. I was shocked when i realised by the end of this month, we'll be a quarter of the way through the year - I know that's stating the obvious but i was still surprised! Should have £2,500 by the end of March :eek: I keep telling myself the summer will bring the money rolling in, but i'm wondering if that is just me procrastinating as usual!
I can't offer any advice regarding ebay i'm sorry - i've never had any luck on there at all so avoid it totally now.Just £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0 -
Is it just me or is jo70mo on fire today? You are speaking a lot of sense to us all today missy !! Thank you
EM - have you found your hotpod yet? Or are you still searching for a plan? Have you made anything yet? I think a lot of us are testing the market with ideas and researching before taking the big plunge. I have spent £500 on stock this month. I hope to be spending £2000 by June and therefore profit will be more. So I am not too worried about where I should be in terms of £10k divided by 12, more where I am in terms of confidence and planning and organization.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

Depends how you are doing it Em - if you have an idea that is going to go at a consistent rate and you have the money to stock it at that rate from the beginning then maybe we should have a quarter by the end of march. but if you are going for a snowball effect then you put a small amount in and make a small profit which you then reinvest partly or wholly to give you a bigger amount of stock and so bigger profits so next time bigger investment etc then you would expect slower growth at the start and bigger growth at the end of the year.
plus slow down we are only one week into march Em:rotfl: so just over a sixth of the way. don't make the year go faster than it is and one of the months we have had is the shortest of the whole year!;)
If you start of with £100 and just add 50% to what you start each month with you would more than get there but only be at 275 by now. eg
100, 150, 275,312.5, 468.75, and so on takes you to around 9000 at month 11. just by increasing each months figure by 50%. not saying it is easy or would work that way. but don't get tied in to thinking it is so much a day or week or month. the idea was to take £100 and increase it over the year not to take it and immediately produce a regular income equating to 10k a year.
You can still do it Em and so can I:T“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

I mainly sell CDs and I'd say 70% of them are sent abroad. Not had any problems yet - the only issues have been with UK buyers![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Moneymabel - I am a bit too foggy right now to look at it in a critical way but initial impressions are I really like it and goes very well with the rest of your website yet works brilliantly for the collection too.
You will need others to give you more expert opinion on how it would work as a logo and if there is anything that would stop it being great.

Em - I have got so much more than moneymaking ideas from here too and I really love it. It feels a great place to spend time and I love the way it has evolved. and I agree with MMTWGR it is about gaining confidence and skills etc and this thread has certainly helped me with those things and helped me feel I have things to offer even if they're not saleable. So thanks everyone.
