I am right in saying that if I eBay an item with a reserve, if it doesn't meet that figure, I can offer it as a second chance to the highest bidder? I'm sure I checked this, but if there's anyone around who knows off the top of their head, I'd appreciate it. I've got a reserve on both my coats and just had a message from someone asking if I'd be willing to take the reserve off. I replied saying no, but that I will probably offer it to the highest bidder on second chance basis if it doesn't meet reserve. Now I'm beginning to worry I'm wrong lol and can't find the bit in eBay that tells me!

MoneyMabel if you use blogger for your blog and if it is the newer and not classic version then on your dashboard go to layout and in your sidebar column there should be a bit saying add a gadget. click on this and a list of gadgets comes up. followers is about 2 down. click on this and when it opens click on save it. It will appear at the top of your sidebar. you can drag and drop it to lower down your side bar. once you've done that save changes to your layout and it will say view blog. have a look if you are happy fine. if not move it again or click on edit it and remove it.

    Toots found this here

"Second Chance Offers for Reserve Price Auctions that did not meet the Reserve Price. If your Reserve Price was not met and there was at least one bidder, the seller can extend a Second Chance Offer to any of the non-winning bidders. The Second Chance Offer price will be equal to the non-winning bidder's last showing bid amount on the View Item (or the Bid History page).
For example, a seller had a listing that ended at £75.31 and the reserve price was not met. The listing had three bidders. Bidder A had a final displayed bid of £75.31, but may have bid a higher maximum amount. Bidder B had a displayed bid of £74.25. Bidder C had a displayed bid of £68.99. If the seller sent a Second Chance Offer to Bidder A, the Buy It Now price offer to that bidder would be £75.31. If the seller sent a Second Chance Offer to Bidder B, the Buy It Now price would be £74.25."

Thank you Jo, once again you've come to the rescue! Half an hour to go, and only a starting bid made in the last few minutes (from the person who wanted the reserve removed!). I have a feeling I may end up disappointed!

Oooo moneymabel, a tattoo design would be perfect for the black rose collection, good thinking!

edit. note to self never leave DD in kitchen with purple paints and pots of water while talking to DS about pokemon! good job we didn't have enough money to get the kitchen floor done when we had the building work. and Michael Fish on the fridge seems to have some kind of rosy sunset haze surrounding him and spreading north and west to all parts!!
Thank goodness for kitchen roll and baby wipes.
