Toots-you are a genius!!! yay it worked thankyou so much hun!!!!!!
You might get a sniper mmtwgr-I use it quite a lot as its free ! http://www.goofbay.com/
go here and click on free ebay sniper-very useful :-)
Hope you get some bidders both of you0 -
MMTWGR It wasn't intentional, but I shouldn't have had the bidding ending in the afternoon - especiallly since it seems to be such a lovely day in most parts of the UK, folk will be out and about enjoying it. Usually have my listings ending on Sunday evening, although who knows if it would have made a difference in this case? Sigh. Might just relist to Thursday night, worth a try I dare say, I had high hopes for these, especially given the number of watchers.
Glad it worked moneymabel!! You're getting quite the whizz with the computer these days!!

The only thing I found with the goofbay one was that the timing didn't quite sync and it didn't place the bid in time so if I used it again I would leave a bit longer time margin.
I also have used bidsnip as they give you 5 free goes and they seemed a bit more accurate but only get 5 free.
Toots I'd be tempted to give the coats another go before letting them go that cheap to another seller.

I'd relist them too Toots. Don't be so focussed on ending on a Sunday either, all my BIN sales last week (I only had 5 but still!!) sold on Tues and Wed. The week before, all (3!) sold on a Tuesday.
Also, I don't know about anyone else, but often having a reserve on an item can put me off - but I guess it gives you a safety net. Also (sorry!) but be careful of having P&P too high. I sold a very heavy fur coat the other day, first time round it had no bids on a start of 19.99 with P&P at £10, then I sold it on a best offer for £33 with £5 P&P a week later!

Woohoo, I bought my Sulkie! The email had gone into my junk folder which is why I hadn't seen it!
Doh!
Lesson learned - don't try to do anything that needs more than a small amount of thought on a Sunday morning! Leave it till Sunday afternoon and go back to bed!:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
Bed didnt sell
Will have to relist
Sold 3 other things whilst refreshing the bed listing though so happy with that !
Anyone else got an opinion on posting ebay items abroad? Has it increased your sales offering worldwide postage??
Thanks
Also I still have the larger items to sell - any other ideas of where to sell -
Actifry - Not listed yet, but thinking Ebay or Gumtree
Car - on ebay currently, but will try autotrader and local paper too
I phone - too scared to sell phone on ebay due to scams, but will try freeads. Local paper??
Black Wii - still have this ! Tried ebay but postage made price too high. Listed on play.com 2 months ago.Was thinking freeads or gumtree next or local paper?VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

Dh definitely had international bidders on his music stuff and although only 2 out of 10 went abroad it did seem to push the bidding up on the other items too.
His stuff was things like microphones and feedback killers and other stuff that I don't understand - but there is an international market for it.
I am sure you have a good understanding how to check out the postage and state it correctly on your listing but he didn't so it was a bit hit and miss for us.
Think I would be tempted to put a uk price and then say international buyers please contact us for a post quote before bidding then if they are from a country with dodgy postal system you can say I am sorry but we don't post there.
just rambling now sorry and not very experienced ebayer.

Now, my logic had failed to work out collection only !!!!
I want £155 for Wii, plus fees from ebay, plus postage of £9 and I think it worked out as £170 ish. Woolworths has it for £230 but I am not sure about other places. I'll have to check and do some research.
But thanks for collection only idea !!VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID
