Em, I just had a thought (yes I know, don't keel over!!) but is there any chance you could describe/post a pic of your googlie eyes? I may be in the market for a few.... :rotfl:

They're just the very little plastic eyes - white background with black plastic 'pupil' encased in transaprent plastic. They're very tiny! (but come in different sizes). If you type it into ebay, it'll bring them up. They're not the most exciting creation in the world but i have grown very, very, very fond of mine!!! :rotfl:They live in my handbag and travel everywhere with me! They've been all around Devon, up to Cheshire and up to North Wales so far!
    Just £10,852.28p to go...

    :D

Cos you just never know when an occasion might call for them...... :rotfl: Well travelled eyes then! You sound very attached! I might have to get some just to see if it would work well, not sure yet if they're the right thing yet.

Wow - that's not too far at all from me! 2 mins drive! It's a great location for you - right near Goodrington beach, Youngs park, Quay west waterpark, Torbay leisure centre and the zoo, not far from the town (less than 5 mins drive, 15 mins scenic walk)... I'd say it was the perfect location for a break away (but i'm biased) :D

  • Right, bet you havent missed my rubbish task of the week !

Your challenge should you choose to accept is to look inwardly. Deep. Deeper than that. No, even deeper than that you shallow person. Right, thats about it. Uncomfortably introspective? Good I shall begin.

This is about the time people may panic. Not meeting 'expected' figures. Still in negative figures due to stock purchasing. Just finishing ebaying the house and pondering on next step. Maybe trialed a small amount of stock and its gone ok, but not brave enough to go bigger. Maybe you've had an idea, run with it, researched it, had sleepless nights with excitement and then at the last minute you have panicked and stalled ( one negative comment or two, or a wierd glance from the MIL or OH) Maybe you just havent found the one idea that makes your heart sing. Or you have bought some rubbish stock and its gotta go for no profit or a loss. Or real life has got in the way and zapped all motivation and funds you have made so far.

What have you learnt from your mistakes so far?

Me first - I have learnt if my gut instinct says go for it, buying one or two of an item to test the market is never good ! Because by the time they have sold, the more experienced buyers have snapped up all the wholesale stock cos they knew a bargain when they saw one !
    Also :
    • not to rule out posting abroad !
    • to keep better book keeping as its a pain in the bum now !
    • to offload my worries on you guys as it is impossible to move on with business until life is sorted out ! ie a problem shared is a problem halved !
    • to weigh things before deciding on postal rates
    • to have more confidence in myself and my decisions. I can make it happen. Honest !
