Hi, so it seems i don`t have many options. The obvious one go back to BT for landline find another company ( O2 ? ) just for broadband then sit it out for a year then re-evaluate the situation.
Thanks again.It`s getting to the point0 -
Yes, that's your only option, no present way to go from one LLU straight to another. Line rental charges don't vary that much, so if you can live with the BT call packages on offer you should be OK.
Bear in mind that if you use all the discounts (02 mobile credit and mobile discount, Quidco cashback) then you will only be paying about £3.30 pm for the O2 Home bb in the first year. Which with BT (line rental £11.54, Anytime £4.99) is still less than you are paying at present-and with a much better broadband service. No free lunch, and no free laptop

O2 broadband/BT line rental sounds like a pretty good deal to me and O2 have announced that they're going to start doing home phone soon too so you could always switch that service over after 12 months with BT.
Anyway. Just posting to say don't forget that BT Anytime is free for the first three months atm so that's another little bit off.0 -
This may scupper me from taking an O2 deal if it turns out to be any good. As the option is a freebie and with O2 BB I thought the 12 months contract would be no problem then O2 announced they'd be offering line rental...Just ensure you don't take the Evening and Weekend 12 month renewable contract
BT are changing the terms of their free Evening/Weekend offer to redefine evening as 7:00pm onwards rather than 6:00pm so I called to cancel and was toild I couldn't until the terms actually change on 1 April when I'll probably get told I'm too late. Seeing this has reminded me to call again to see if I get the same story.0
