HSBC - £350 gone from my account

Hi,
I just have been called by HSBC fraud team and been asked about loads of transactions. Since yesterday someone went for a shopping spree with my card details over the net - it seems that they were only internet transactions, nothing else. I have been billed £120 for Travelodge, £215 for FastFood (Pizza Hut, Dominos, and kebab chain through Just-Eat website), £10 for O2 top-up, £2 for Tesco Direct and two internet transaction £1 each. Only Travelodge was debited from my account the rest is pending - I asked if they can cancel them they said NO.
So now I have to wait until the rest will be debited and then I can ask for my money back - I will have to sign fraud form or whatever it is...
Will I get my £££ back???
I have my suspicions as where the details were snatched - I called Virgin Media to find out about weird bill they said it is the final bill and I have to pay it so I asked to pay via the phone. The guy said first transaction wasnt authorised so i had to repeat all the details and I guess F*er written them down and now party on my account.
I genuinely did not pay for such stuff...

Do I need to prove it somehow it wasn't me? Its all online transactions... I used them before but long long time ago and there is no chance for me to actually order stuff for delivery from these chains as I live in a village and no one delivers to my address... And Travelodge.... no way...
This is just ridiculous!
Thanks God I have been called by them - otherwise my account would be empty within a week or so with such spendings as I check my account once a week sometimes even less as I just got paid so I would think I have money in my account....0 -
Just checked few of pending transactions just have been taken from my account it seems it is in London area - How the hell they get my card details in London I'm like 150miles away from there!!!0

The good news is that, since November of last year, the FSA has taken over the regulation of banking and put the onus on the bank to prove you were not defrauded, not the other way round.
This doesn't of course, mean that you should attempt to say you have been defrauded when you haven't - that would amount to fraud by you against the bank.
Whilst I appreciate that is not what you are doing at all, there are those out there who might get silly ideas and to them I say it is not worth it. It may result in you being unable to get insurance or credit - or even being banged up.0 -
With things like just eat it will be easy for the bank to find out where the food was delivered if they bother.,0

Your bank have already flagged the transactions as fraudulent.
If the transactions debit your account they will be refunded.
Banks do have to make checks when a customer is defrauded to make sure it is genuine fraud etc.
The bank will then do chargeback to the retailers in question. If they do this they won't look into the fraud any further as they won't be at a loss financially.
it will then be up to the retailer if they want to pursue the matter.
Hope you get it sorted ok.

Well I was happy until today.
Yesterday fraud offfice refunded £161 from the fraudulent operations.
Today they reversed 30.09 from the refund. I called HSBC asked what the hell is going on?!? And they told me that they decided not to refund the fraudulent operations done through secured website. So basically they will NOT REFUND over £200 that was stolen from my account as it was done over secure website?!?!?!!?
I had stolen £350 that in several operations for Travelodge, O2, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Just-Eat, Tesco Direct....
What they refunded is Travelodge and O2
What they said they will refund is Dominos
But not any other charges as they said was done over secured website and !!!!!!?!?!? How the hell they can say that ?!?!?!
ANYONE COULD REGISTER THEMSELVES ON PIZZA HUT AND PAY FOR ANYTHING THEY WANT!!!
What the hell am I supposed to do now?!?
I told them I can prove they weren't done from my account on pizzahut.co.uk as they store every single order and I can prove this weren't my operations - all they said - You not going to get your money back.0 -
When you pay online you pay through secure visa which means you have to enter a completely separate online password which you would have assigned to you.
This cannot be got through the normal fruad routes.0 -

I did not set up secure visa signature... that's the thing... anyone could do what the hell they would like with it i just had this card for 2 months. On my account there is still a code I would need to put in to actually set such thing... And as far as I know if you don't have it you can cancel the secure visa crap and the transaction will go through.0
