A Cat C car does need to be VIC checked.. To ensure its safe to be back on the road..
If you bought it from a legit trader, get in contact with him!
VIC has nothing to do with a safety check and yes, as daft as it sounds the MOT is still valid which is why they're worthless for indicating a cars roadworthiness.0 -
Don't know if you can answer this but I have bought a car which i believe to be a Cat C.There is no VIC marker set against it,so how do I fill out V62 form.Do I declare it as a Cat C or x the box which states V52 lost or destroyed and pay the £25?
Why do you believe it is CAT C? Has a HPI check come back? Not all cars that are in accidents make it onto the insurance database. If I write my car off to CAT C, don't inform my insurers and repair it myself then it will not be listed as CAT C.0
