Hmm, so one account for me, one joint, one for the fiance. Instant transfers so maybe I could just put £250 in, transfer from A to B on day 1, B to C on day 2, back to A on day 3, repeat four times :D. No work at all, money just spinning round Halifax earning me and the Mrs £15 a month.

    Do you reckon it's workable?

You should be able to do it all in the same day, I certainly floated £1k around my 3 Reward accounts and back out again, with the £15 rewards, today in one session.

The question is after we have spun through 3 accounts is it best to then stick the £15 in a web saver thing at 2.80%?
Credit card and overdraft at 18. 2 loans and 3 storecards at 20. University education flushed down the toilet through debt at 22. Car finance at 23. Car repossessed at 24. Rock bottom at 25. Learnt my lesson 26-33. Now 34 with a mortgage on an affordable house, a car paid for with cash and a bank account in credit. I learnt the hard way.

Definitely - I have 2 accounts and £250 bouncing around between them on standing orders. All I have to do is to check on the 2nd of each month to confirm that the fivers have been credited, then faster payment them out to my Nat West eSavings account.

So it's OK to credit / bounce the money from one HBoS to another.. so internal transfers?
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

It certainly has been so far - I've been doing it for six months, I think others have been doing it for nearly a year now.

I have just signed up for the Halifax Reward account - You get your fiver during the early hours on the 2nd of each month?

No .... it's calculated (you need to have credited the £1k during the previous month) overnight during the night of the 1st working day of the month ...... so that's a bit variable. But then it's dated back to the 1st of the month on your Statement.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

No, one sole, and one joint across both brands. Halifax is a brand name for Bank of Scotland (not RBS), so anyone who holds a Halifax Reward Current Account, effectively holds a BoS Reward Current Account - i.e. it's the same bank.

I have a current account with Intelligent Finance, does this mean I can't open one of these Halifax accounts? Would my only option be to close the IF account?
