No mate, not married - I could technically have said fiancee though as we are engaged.
I know giving kids what they want regardless is just part of being a [STRIKE]sucker[/STRIKE] good dad. I'm the same with my 2 and the eldest is not even 4 yet, god help me when it goes from sweets to clothes, money, cars and houses!
*erm, go and ask your mother....
LOl, mate the problem with go and ask your mother is that they do that and then come to dad and say "mum says no" even when mum has already said yes - you know, when they want money! Play one against the other and get double - I think it shows good negotiating skills - cheeky little monkies... haha
Ermmm, guilty of almost all your list, we have an older daughter (23) who lives in a modern city centre apartment, hmmmm:D
Oh yea, you are pretty much married stop playing with the technicalities - you are under the thumb, ergo you're married - shame you just don't know it yet mate :rotfl::rotfl:
Right, pub time for me - catch you later mate :beer:2010 - year of the troll

I'll watch for the double headed approach then, although watching for it and being able to do something about it are 2 completely different things! :rotfl:
Re the technicalities, I do know it, I just don't want to admit it
You enjoy the pub mate, give those two typing fingers a well earned rest. :T Catch you later.0 -
Hi All.
Havn't posted for a few days, we've had quite a lot on since about Thursday, and I don't know where the weekend went.!! But its business as usual now. Have been to work, and just loaded the washing machine, so now its coffee time. Have you got used to being back home and alone yet Ann?....It always takes me ages when we have stayed with our family and grandchildren, its so noisy there and so horribly quiet here.! Anyway, will be back later.

Hi Elsie,
Good to hear from you!
And funny you should ask about getting used to being home alone -I am still adjusting and do miss them all like mad! Even when I was in their house I never felt quite alone - after all, I did have the dog (and the rest of the animals!). Now it does feel very quiet and I just wish they lived nearer. Never mind, I am back there in just under 6 weeks time - for nearly 3 weeks!
Just wish the housing market would pick up - I am really psychologically ready for a move - although my house needs some tidying up (well, de-cluttering!) before I could even think of showing anyone around it! Trouble is, the clutter is just rubbish - not at all valuable, just stuff I have hoarded. Am currently sorting out old clothes - am getting rid of most of my old work clothes. Just keeping a few suits - in case!"What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
Hi Ann and all I love the "grand dog" name thats so cute I bet he/she is missing you too what with you letting them in the lounge!
did you have any replies from the dca's when you got back? i havent been on here much since before the weekend.
Sw i have an ipod it was a bit indulgent but i got it at xmas with gift vouchers. It is great i download the Archers every day and get audio books from audible great for when i go on me "urban walks" or travelling to and from work. It will be handy for when the footie starts this weekend. My son is watching a England friendly on telly at the mo, those horns the fans are playing are doing me head in already!!!!!!My son has sorted the glitch out with the pod so sweet.
I had a spate of leccy stuff going at the same time. Its so annoying I just got argos's basic value stuff a fridge and freezer i have to say i am very impressed. My washer ive had 10 years so cant complain use it everyday oops perhaps should say that but had me moneys worth.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Hello all. Granddog must really miss you Ann! & Jinny glad you are fine. It is so funny i (genuinely) thought men only ever spoke about football, beer, cars and war so it is nice to hear NID and LJ talking about families and washing machines. See they gossip too!!
Just back from work. Escaped just as i was starting to get down. It is raining here but it is gentle and good for the garden.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Hi Jinny and SW,
Yes, I do miss the grand-dog!
Not saying too much about letting her go in the lounge, though! But, I bet she will remember when I go back there! She knows how to get round me - and I think I may want to watch the odd telly programme while I am there!
Nothing much really from the DCAs. Think it is still early days yet. I did get a text from Barclaycard while I was away, which said that I unless I contacted them (presumably with some sort of payment!) they would be referring the matter to a DCA. Also had a "moment" after son returned and my mobile rang and daughter-in-law handed my phone to me to answer. I saw it was one of the dreaded 0845 numbers and quickly rejected the call. Don't think they noticed what I did!
The phone calls keep coming on the land line here but I am ignoring them.
