Thanks again for all your help with this Niddy. To say it is appreciated is an understatement!

This leaves outstanding the 4 who have requested signatures - some are quite recent but M&S wrote to me over 2 weeks ago to say that they were sending their paperwork separately - am still waiting. Plus I have heard absolutely zilch from Capital One and am still waiting for the next step from Amex, who had the "best" paperwork.

It does look as if the total is now 11 - but I am not counting any chickens - yet!

Now off to rummage through some drawers!

    Hi Ann

Yey to unenforceable agreements :T :T

See, it's not been that bad has it? bet you wish you joined MSE ages ago now and you'd have had months and months of stress free living! But seriously, you'll be fine - we'll get all of them unenforceable, where there's a will there's a way ;););)

So basically stop rooting through drawers (ooer) and send the template as described in my last post, the exact start date does not matter - point is, I was right to presume it was new terms and not the ones at account inception - that's all that mattered.

As it happens they should have sent you the original agreement, terms at outset, terms from card change and current terms (3 sets of variable terms).... They never, coupled with the other things - you can see why it is unenforceable right? :D

p.s. writing letters can wait, no need to be so thorough - leave them a week, a fortnight - whatever - its up to you when you respond, just have it all ready and saved ready to print and post! No need to rush and do it first thing tomorrow, that's too easy for the lender!

Hello mouseann - was just signing off and hit your Thread.
I will trot back into my lurkerdom if you have already consulted CAP, as in my signature. I have it there, knowing how wonderful they were and are for mumoftwins, who many of you may know and admire.
    CAP are superb.
I will read more later, but send you strength and endurance for now, which is a beautiful day.
Be out in it - this stuff can wait.

    Thanks Niddy,

Have not started rooting through the drawers yet - so won't even start on it!

Point taken re the letters - will probably leave sending them until Saturday - am away for a week after that, so won't be able to deal with any replied they may send, anyway!

And, yes I do wish I had started this whole process earlier - especially as I had a good salary then, which was all being eaten up with minimum payments - interest mostly! Grrrrr!

Never mind, I do now feel I am getting somewhere at last!

    Thanks Ampersand,

I really appreciate your comments and support.

But not sure who (or what?) you mean by CAP? Is it the same as Capital One? I am still waiting to hear from them ...

    Thanks Niddy,

A bit dense of me confusing it with Capital One - who I thought were baddies (and probably still are!)

    I will second that!

SW, I don't think you realise how much you help people with your zany sense of humour and your ability to make people laugh, especially when they may be feeling down!

Regarding the "food hangover" - I find ginger or peppermint helps the digestive system!

    Morning Swanfan,

You are right, it is a beautiful day!

However, I have missed my "fix" of talking to everyone on here so am finding it difficult to log off and do something more productive!
