I think, divorse was only mentioned to make him face up to the debt problem and not to actually leave him. That was what I understood anyway and by the sound of it, it worked and they are still together I hope.

someboby please help. I took a credit card out 0% for 9 month issued by NSPCC, called them today to transfer some monye into my current account and they said they only do the balance transfers!!! I need to have £1000.00 cash for the builder, who is going to repair the front of our house in two weeks time. What do I do? Is there such a card that will transfer some money into my current account?

  • Hi Debtomaniac,

the egg credit card allows you to transfer money into a current account, there may be a charge for doing this though.:j
  • Or as a last resort go and withdraw cash using the card in the hole-in-the-wall.

If I do that they are going to charge me a loooooooooooooot of money, whuch I can't afford. Trying to transfer to MBNA, hubby says they will not charge for transfering the money into my bank account. Not sure if that is true, but we will see.

  • Your hubby's wrong.

MBNA will charge you for transferring, all right.
  • I think MBNA charge around 2.5%
They issue cheques for just that purpose and for paying bills. The additional charge certainly bumps up the bill
  • Well I can understand a transaction fee of 2.5%, but will they charge me an interest for the amount I transfer on a monthly basis as well?
