and there arent any phone numbers for the branches = - O
  • Unfortunately RM won't do anything until after 15 working days, when it then becomes officially lost. It's worth checking with the sorting office once you figure out where yours is, though. I had an eBay customer contact me to say that her item had not arrived a week or so after I posted it first class. It turned out it was at the sorting office, and the stamp had become detached so she had to pay the postage and an admin fee at her end. (I've written to them with a copy of proof of postage and a request for a refund of the extra postage charges to forward to my customer).
I've had first class mail take a week to arrive, and 2nd class, which I posted in the afternoon, arrive in London (from Scotland) the following morning!
P.S. If you ask at your local PO, they should be able to tell you where the local sorting office is.

it depends on how much mail the office has to deal with - some take 1 day, others take 5. I send mail with special delivery if it is important - and at min recorded as it is trackable
Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.

first class does not = next day, or even next week!

only special delivery = next day

in future, if you want something urgent, pay the extra!

I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
