May I throw my hat into the ring? I watched Jan and Feb with interest, and this is just as much about weight loss as it is about money-saving!

I spend a fortune on lunches every day, and it's getting silly and fattening. I have 23 working days this month, failed today already, so can I be a wuss and aim for 14/23 packed lunches?
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

  • Morning,

I'd like to report yesterday was a success and my lunch is already made for later today.

I'm going to make some soup and pasta dishes and freeze them, so that way I won'#t be tempted to go out and buy a sandwich.

    2/2 for me too!

Ham and mustard sandwiches for me today, with a babybel and some fruit. Got leftover shin of beef stew for one day this week though...

    Have a good day all

So far I have been REALLY bad with this.

I have a habit of purchasing all the necessaries for lunch (bread, fillings, etc), and in the morning getting up and just not being bothered to make a sandwich, which means I get into work and end up buying one instead, and then wasting the filling and bread as it goes mouldy.

I know I know.. it's my own fault! I should probably make the sarnies in the evening when Im still in the mood..

I'm exactly the same!!! Managed to grab a packet of Supernoodles from the cupboard on the way out this morning so at least I didn't have to buy anything.

I'm getting better though, when I'm making dinner at night I've started just making a sandwich and throwing a couple of snacks into a lunchbox.

So far 2/2 lunches from home :D

Hey all! Updated the list, welcome to march!

Had potato and leek soup the first two days this week - unfortunatly not so yummy as it stays lumpy if you warm it from frozen in a micro! From now on I'll warm it on the hob at home and just reheat.

tomorrow have tonights leftover curry. Yum yum!

Oohooh me too - sorry nottoobadyet, you've just updated the thread.

I <heart> this challenge - it goes sooooo well with doing NSDs and is such an easy way to make a big MSE difference, I find.

Could you put me down for 20/23 brought in lunches this month please (to include a complete ban on frittering money on choccy bars and other stuff from the vending machine).
    Thank you!
