    Hi Everyone

Failed already! I had aimed not to spend any money on toiletries this month but I went in Wilko where they have got some brill deals on shampoos etc. Anyway I bought two bottles of Nail Varnish remover for £1 - One for each daughter who keep using mine!!
Then went to Boots looking for Hard as Nails! Bought that plus cuticle cream (Buy 2 get 2nd one half price!) Used some gift vouchers so only cost £3 and coppers for the two! This purchase was an essential cos my nails are soooo dry and flaking away!

But the night before I also bought some S & G bits and pieces online for Easter Gifts!!
So well and truly blown it for March but will try not to be buy anything that is not essential for the rest of the month!

Finished a BS White Musk Midnight Iris body spray, which means a new one can go in the gym bag, depleting the bathroom stash. Will probably replace with a FCUK one as I have about 5 and it's nice and fresh for post-gym. Also, my Liz Claibourne 'Realities' perfume is finished up. I'm desperate to finish my Clean, Girls body wash as I really want to move on to a Sanctuary one but I'll keep on persevering with it. I've realised boredom with products is my greatest challenge.I think my need for variety is what got me in this position in the first place. I just LOVE too many nice products!
Right, I have an hour or so before I need to crack on, so going to catch up with all your lovely ramblings, been really busy and have missed all your gossip!
    Happy Sunday girls! :)

*edit, should add, no more purchases and I gave away 1/4 of my haul from the Tesco John Frieda glitch, and will probably give away more in time. I see everyone going on about magazine freebies, this USED to be a major issue for me so I'm going to stay well away from the mag aisle for the time being, thanks for the heads up girls!

    I've been Money Tipped!
OK, so tday I went to touche eclat on all my established touche eclat places and realised the smile line on the right side of my face simply isn't there anymore, not to a touche-ing degree.... the main difference is making sure I don't miss the odd day and the Estee lauder stuff......so at least half due to the challenge making me disciplined about using the stuff I own and possibly sticking to something, not getting bored because results don't show instantly!

Well done QoNMW. I agree, it does feel less of a struggle once you get used to the idea of not needing to buy stuff, doesn't it.

It sure does: isn't it amazing how they've got us programmed to 'buy, buy, buy'?

  • yeah it get loads easier...when I need something I'm going to keep an eye out for deals/grabbits but only to buy what I need. I don't want to get into the buying for the sake of buying again. I'm really enjoying using up all the lovley things I've got though but this challenge has really made me think about how drawn I am to getting what I think is a deal (which it isn't if I don't need it) and how much I used toiletries to 'treat myself'.

I must confess I did buy a brand new sealed body shop 200ml coconut shimmer body butter from the carboot this morning for 50p but it was bought with the intention of ebaying, so I'm not counting it as a blip :)
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

I was innocently walking throgh Boots on Friday at lunchtime and was asked by the Benefit girl if I would like to try their new blusher... I had nothing to do, so I ended up getting my face done, which looked really good (even skin tone etc)... Anyway, I don't have a foundation that I like and I really need/want the perfect foundation... so I ended up buying the 'Some Kinda Gorgeous' foundation faker with points (so free)!! She tried a brow pencil on me too (I am fair skinned and haired and have minimal eyebrows) which I also loved, but can't afford. I do have a No7 voucher though, so I might buy their brow pencil - has anyone tried this (or would anyone recommend this???)???

I am trying really hard, but not being completely successful... but I am also really minimising the non essential buys!!!
I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!
