Morning all.
Havent been around till late yesterday due to being at the hospital with my mum most of the time. Drove home yesterday and will be going back next Monday and staying again till Thursday - well that's the plan anyway. She is really ill; she makes one step forward and then two backwards it seems, but on the other hand, they were talking about getting her out of ICU and back onto a ward, which is actually positive, but then when they say that, something else happens that is worse than the last thing. Like yesterday - she had been relatively fine on Wednesday; but whern I went in yesterday morning, she was bleeding in the stomach, so they were going to take her for an endoscopy last night. Have to ring the hospital shortly to find out what they did, or even whether they did it. I almost decided to stay there rather than leave her, but she has her OH with her, so she isnt alone at least.
Other than that, she has dry gangrene, Raynauds syndrome, a narrowed aortic valve, oedema, low protein and other nutrients in her body, passing protein in the urine, a racing heart beat, low blood pressure.....
Anyway, today I hope to get some housework done. DH kept the kitchen nice while I was away and the dishwasher was empty when I got back, all the dishes washed and put away and the surfaces wiped. Im just going for today's list and not bothering to catch up or anything and then I hope to get a long walk somewhere cos I need some fresh air - hospitals give me the creeps!
