  • Dunno whats up - feel a bit parp...but have noticed that Aunt Flo is 2 weeks late! Very unusual......AND NO _ I'M NOT PREGNANT - I'm far too old for all that!

So I'm wondering if it's the other thing - ie the menopause - fellow flyladies - any tips on how to survive?

I know what you mean about Auntie Flo failing to visit despite her normal plans - she didn't arrive at all in February and has now arrived with vengance! Most odd!! But maybe this accounted for the excessive upset and tears that I had this morning - felt like I could not cope any more with work and pain.... Feel better now but manager told me to stay off work until Monday or for a week what ever I feel is best. No excuses tomorrow - I will be flying to catch up on the week's work as even the kitchen that I did do some in on Monday has become a mess again!:(

Still can't sleep though - wide awake but have a headache and cannot take any more painkillers as have already taken 8 over the day.

Tomato - Well done to your son for Grammar school.
Froddington - Great news on your little shadow

Mozzy - congrats to your OH for the new job!
    Valli - Well done hon!
I forgot to mention it on Tuesday but lots of my seeds are now seedlings! My improvised 'greenhouses' have obviously done the trick. I am so pleased.
We also now have a working shower. woohoo1.gifThe guy was here at 8am yesterday morning.. and he had driven down from Gloucester! It needed a whole new circuit board but luckily the shower was still in its' warranty period, though only just.

I hope everyone has a good day - with love and light and flylady hugs.gif to anyone who needs them.

To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough.
If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.

Sorry not read thread yet but just wanted to post for......83Rachel...MY doctors are great but we have one receptionist who is horrid (the rest are really nice )...My 3 boys have terrible excema..they are steri-wrapped...4 layers every night...I was hardly getting any bandages ...you would think it was her money that was paying for them...my dermatology nurse wrote a stiff letter and now I just phone the order inand have it delivered by the chemist...I dont even have to speak to her now...dont take any c**p from them...sorry to all the good receptionists out there..but honestly this one would make anyone cry ...

I have been flying will post when I have read thread xxx

the dermatology nurse at the hospital sorted it out in the end she told the gp that they have to issue prescriptions for them. it was a nightmare we was having to go to the hospital 3 times a week tog et supplies when the doctors is just in the next village.

i spoke to the wee ones health visitor about the receptionist and how she was, she is going to have a word, i know im probably just being hormonal and silly but People shouldnt speak to you like that. especially when going thru what we are at the moment.

sorry for my crappy typing and not catching up with the whole thread its like quater to four in the morning and i am still up worrying about it all.

    Hi all
I am still here....my feet don't seem to have touched the ground for the past couple of days and my head is elsewhere. I've skim-read the thread and wanted to say thank you to Mumof2, Lamewolf, Toots, macpep, Thifty, Froddington, liloandstitch and Vanilla for all your support - and to anyone else I have missed. It truly means a lot during this difficult time. My parents are in varying states at the moment - my step-dad is vary quiet and I'm sure he's been crying in private (he has red eyes that he says are due to scratching), and my mum says she feels numb. Me, I think I am in denial...OH says I should relax and deal with it....but I can't right now.

Anyway, I've been doing the odd bit here and there and although the place is not very tidy, at least I'm doing something. I'm at the hospital with DD today (it never ends!) as she is in-toeing quite badly when she walks and they want to see what can be done. Tomorrow I have a free catch up day, so hopefully I can make a bigger difference then.

Take care all - and lots of hugs to anyone who needs one...

    Morning all

Just haven't had the time to catch up so hugs and hurrahs as appropriate. Busy day yesterday. Went out to do an interview which was good, then as I was there, chased up a few more addresses and got an appointment for another interview out of it which I'll do on Sunday afternoon.

Then I did the associated paperwork and spent some time on the phone to another MSE forum lady (not on this thread) who I'm helping object to a planning application. It goes to committee tonight so I've said I'll speak for her so we finalised what to say.

Only problem is, I'm driving DD to the dentist this afternoon to have her wisdom tooth out. As long as her appointment runs to time, I'll be able drop her home and then get to the town hall in the next town on time. If DD's appointment is late, it'll be touch and go in the rush hour traffic!

So, I need dentist on time vibes and smooth journey vibes for this evening please followed by planning committee refuse permission if anyone has a moment.

I promise to try harder once this busy week is over. Thanks
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

    Tuesday done. Star Please.

DD2's birthday today. She's 4. We celebrated yesterday because DH is away today (as he says how can he possibly be expected to remember when the children's birthdays are):(. He took us out for breakfast and lunch before he jumped in his car and disappeared to Manchester.

I went to see The Lovely Bones last night. Don't believe the reviews. I thought it was very good and far too scary for a 12a certificate.

Won't get much flying done today as DM is coming over to spoil DD2.

Hope everyone has a nice day!
