Greenbee - Are you going to the reunion then? I would go for the nicest, like to be in luxury when am away from the kids (which is not often)
Yes... I'm going. although after I confirmed I wanted a ticket I didn't hear anything back... students ;) Friend who is also going got in at the luxurious place I had my eye on (and then apologised for not realising I hadn't booked and not booking mine too) but now they only have 2 night minimum stay... probably a good thing we aren't in the same place as he's an ex (although from a long time ago, but you can't be too careful!). Anyway, have gone for the closest of the other two, as I was told the further one had gone down hill a bit.

Hopefully it'll be an OK evening and I'll enjoy catching up with people. If not, then at least I'll get a good night's sleep and can use the gym before I go home!

Late day at the office - i got there late as I had to spend ages on the phone sorting out a gas engineer for Wednesday. Hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow, so I can get some fresh air and exercise, do some flying AND get some work done!

Slowly catching up with thread Birtday wishes for Kaz and Rose xx

Wanted to ask a question.......DD has been going to one to one swimming lessons for about 18 months now at £12 for a half hour lesson and she has done brilliantly considering she hated getting her face wet when she started,,,,she can now swim 600 metres!!! But I have found recently that, even though her instructor is lovely, he doesn't seem to be very strict with her now and also, when DD started her lessons, the pool was used for 1 to 1 lessons only(some students are allowed to play for 10 mins before/after lesson), however, lately I have noticed that 1 or 2 instructors bring their own children to the class while they are teaching and one child is a little girl about the same age as DD and they have becme friends, hence DD wants to play and not concentrate on her lesson. Anyway, I have found a local class lesson(other one was a 20 min, at least, drive away at 4/4:30 after school) and want to stop the one to one lessons.........what do I say to one to one teacher, we normally communicate through text????

I do appreciate any advice xx

tooch - could you try the local class before you commit? Maybe tell him that you're looking for something more local as although you're thrilled with the progress she's made, you can't keep travelling that distance - can he recommend a local teacher/class. Otherwise you'll start looking around and maybe get DD to try a few before she stops with him. That way you can try it out, and if it's a disaster you haven't burnt your boats, but you don't have to worry about DD chatting about her 'other' swimming lessons.

Suppose I should do some washing up and then get to bed. Must remember to go and buy that screwdriver tomorrow. Oh... and pay the bill for the car being fixed and pick up my key... so much to do... where does all the time go???

I've done as much of Mondays list as I can and will try to do some of tomorrows list but I am making headway with the de-cluttering so I'm quite pleased with that

Haven't kept up with the thread so far as I'm trying to stay off here so I can get stuff done so hugs all round and I hope you are all ok

apologies it is so late.. KH didn't bring the children back until 9;15pm.. then I had to chase them all to bed as fast as possible.. he is such a f-quit.. how horrible is it keeping the littlies up 2.5 hours after their bed time.. on a school night?!!

Then I had to go yell at the neighbours for playing 'music' way too loud for 10pm.. selfish sodding loathesome students.. I literally beat the door until they answered.. then I was sickeningly nice.. ooh.. I think they just turned it off!!.. I hope!! I did have half the street noseying I hammered so loudly on the door!! It is amusing.. he was all apologetic and I'm 5 ft 3 and obviously very menacing lol

Oh.. AND... we still haven't been emailed about school for DS3 so I am not happy!!

I too am 5' 2 and a half" :rotfl:and according to DH total menace so I applaud you :T and am still up fr wiping out your KH:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:so:rotfl:sorry but what a fud!!

Tooch, you could say that she had done brilliantly but now would like the social side of being in a group and you need something closer to home. With her liking to play with the little girl are you at all worried that this will happen in a group lesson. DS3 was a toad for belting it down the lane so that he could carry on chatting, jumping about with the other kids so you might need to have a chat with her about this.

    All done for the night.

DH back with his new tv and DS1 who helped carry it in from the car is grinning ear to ear. He needs to get to bed as he has an exam tomorrow.
