I am in again today. It is actually our 5th wedding anniversary today and we were meant to be going for a long walk and having lunch in our favourite pub but both DH and DS2 are ill so that has been postponed. On with the clearing instead. I have one last bit of the kitchen to do then it is on to the Dining Room which really is a room of doom complete with paper work mountain.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

I'm in again today, can't believe how much crap was under our bed:eek: If it wasnt for the 100+ circular saw blades under it now - don't ask! It would be positively empty. Couple of board games and some shoes but not much else.
Will carry on once i have had some tea and toast and have done an S&S of the kitchen. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

gailey - thats a huge list for one day? If I started with a list like that I would get depressed and give up. I have to tell myself I am only doing a bit at a time. Maybe try a series of half an hour doing one job off your list, then 15 minutes for you, then 15 with the children before moving onto the next 30 minutes job?
It took me all day yesterday to do the cloakroom, back hall and kitchen whilst one boy lay on the sofa being ill and the other made a huge mess in the playroom. It does get easier the more you get rid of. A few years ago when we were selling our house I managed to get the whole place clean and de-cluttered and kept it that way till we moved - despite step teenagers, and two toddlers. I had to be very ruthless, and every bed had clearly marked storgae boxes underneath. This house is twice the size, has virtually no storage and is a buliding site so I have never quite got on top if it again.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
