The (Flylady inspired) Anniversary Declutter Mission

Morning all and well done to all of you who got rid of a bit more clutter yesterday.
I hurt my shoulder turning to speak to DH this morning so can't garden or fly at the moment. I shall therefore turn my attention to financial paperwork - this is probably an entire day's job anyhow. I might even do some of it in the garden later.
Good luck to you all today. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
It is pouring with rain here so a great day to get on with the decluttering.
I've completed day 8 so am going back to day 1 today to get the pictures sorted. Also planning on ordering the defuzzer so I can get the jumpers done (hopefully I won't need them for a while now spring has sprung).
Good luck to anybody else joining in today. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Hmm so I've done my first week of flylady cleaning... and am thinking I may need to do some extra decluttering. Most of it is hidden in cupboards, wardrobes and under my bed but there is more "stuff" than there ought to be
I'm thinking Monday might be a paper sorting day then (there's piles of printed recipes and pages from food mags under my bed and in the kitchen cupboard, not to mention the bills I haven't filed yet).working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Glad you are all still chipping away at those lists. I've finished another day and ordered my defuzzer.
Just have 2 things left now - kids pictures - I will do this tomorrow and sharpening of the garden tools. I will be so happy when they are done.
I have also sorted the entire loft which wasn't on the list.
There is still the room of doom - DH's office but he's doing a bit in there at the moment.
Planning on putting some bits on ebay tomorrow for the free listing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I've been lurking on here and am very impressed and somewhat motivated (it takes a LOT) and I have a tip which I found helpful. I hoard newspapers in which there might be one teeny little interesting article. The pile quickly mounts up (or it might be foodie magazines or anything like that) and gets out of control. But then I bought a tiny gadget from Lakeland - it's blue, shaped like a 2D mouse and about the size of a big slice of cucumber and has a blade hidden in it - I don't know what they call it. It seems expensive but I use it to cut out the article and then I put that in a poly bag, or in a scrap book or in a box and then CHUCK the paper/mag/etc. It has made a big difference to my hoarding papers etc and thought it might help....they seem expensive (about £2 I think) but are so quick to use, and easy, that I thought I'd unlurk for a moment.
