Morning all
Still mad here with the building work so getting a bit side tracked, I did manage nearly all the mending yesterday though.
DS3 is not sleeping well so I'm tired again today. Just got my flying dailies to do and then I'm going to work on the hotspots and financial bits.
Jassa - you are doing really well - every little counts as far as I'm concerned.
Toots - hi sweetie xxThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm rubbish at following the days, but I've decluttered some of a shrub into the recycling bin and chucked away something from the shed. Wondering whether to declutter some of the front lawn.....0

Hi:j
My target of at least 5 items decluttered.
Today was difficult for me as the crockery is OK-ish (thanks to Flylady thread) although it has made me want a new set of crockery as I haven't got a full set now. I love cups and saucers, but most everyday sets don't have them now:( - I haven't got 4 cups and saucers that match at the mo!
China Wednesday - DONE (well, sort of - I had to be a bit creative with this!)- 1 mug to charity shop - freebie from a conference
- 1 vase to charity shop
- 1 pot plant holder thrown as it had a crack and leaked
- tea bag/herbal teas shelf sorted - put a pretty dish by kettle and filled it with odds and sods of herbal teabags to use up AND put all the ordinary teabag samples/hotel freebies into the current box of teabags so they will get used up! What am I saving them for?
- 1 ceramic sugar cannister binned as the lid kept falling off but will need to buy a new one - sugar bunged into a plastic box for now
- 1 wedgewood (will I get away with that??) blue ball of wool cast on to knit a square
- some rather tired potatoes turned into leek and potato soup for lunches
JxI could give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!Shoe love is true loveDebt-free 21/12/09 and determined to stay that way - still DF 09/10/170 -
Slightly ahead on the anniversaries (golden) but a girl at work came around to our house yesterday, she had just taken her "old gold" to our local jeweller and he gave her £476 for it so she says I should see if I've got any.
So has a look knowing I had nothing of any value and found two odd earings,a broken chain and an old ring MIL bought DH years ago from argos.
£81:eek: I couldn't believe it so dig deep girls and have a look it might be worth a trip to your local jeweller.0 -
I wonder if my first wedding ring is worth anything :rotfl:. It cost enough to get rid of! Someone I work with did this last month and got a few hundred pounds too - more than she would from any of the on line ones. There was a minimum weight requirement.
I over did the decluttering of the boxes and manuals. Typical that DH now 'needs' the box for something and I know I got rid of it and the recycling collection has been.
Slowly, slowly shifting stuff out. The books to go pile is nearly a metre high which is good for me. I don't know what to do with electric based toys that charity shops will not take. Freegle I guess given my aversion to selling stuff.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Evening guys
Flagging a bit here.
I don't have a hotspot anymore which is great news!
I am getting there, might just take a few weeks.
Gold - always take it to a jeweller, weight it yourself before you go and look up that day's gold rate so you have an idea of what you might get. I found some odds and ends when I was sorting out last week so I may just take them in and ask tomorrow when I go to town. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I've got a bag of rags to take to town with me and might take some stuff to the scrap store.
Builder is here making a lot of noise so I'll be out for most of the day. Hope to get a bit more of the financial decluttering - receipts drawer done tonight.
Have a good day all - we have sunshine so I may do a little bit of bronzing! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I love the way people are referring to having a cup of tea as "decluttering a cup of tea", and getting a haircut as "decluttering hair" - its so true, and so funny at the same time2023: the year I get to buy a car0
