Could be heat. What are your CPU and system temps?
If you don't know, download PC Wizard 2006 from here and read them from the Voltages, Temps and Fans button.

first case make sure the inlet/outlet holes in the PC are clear of debris, worth opening the PC up and blowing the cobbwebs out of it
