Yep just spam. I've had them sent to email addresses that I know for a fact aren't associated with any form of payment or card of mine."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I haven't had many myself only a few and they were sent to my university email address which I never use for ordering stuff so it couldn't be associated with my credit card, also the so called payment never turned up. I've also had others where it's for credit card or bank transfer that I don't even have. It's just a scam to try and get you to install that exe file."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

One of my users just received a similar if not the same email and this is what is reported by symantec:
Location of the infected item: XXXXXXXX/Inbox Sender of the infected item: sales@spysoftcentral.com Subject of the message: Order Approval Notification The attachment "DD269901.zip" was Quarantined for the following reasons:
Unrepairable virus Downloader.Bancos was found in DD269901.exe.
This was done due to the following Symantec Mail Security settings:
Policy: Standard
SubPolicy: Exception SubPolicy
Rule: Unrepairable Virus RuleNURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
DR. BENWAY: "Very likely but there's no time."0 -
Thanks very much for posting. I also received the same email and as you say it is worrying when they say they are going to debit a credit card. Even though I knew they couldn't have any of my details, the email seemed convincing.
I did eventually bin it but it did cause some concern.0
