Wahoo!! Just got my first 'congratulations' email to say i've won a DVD from the independent newspaper! I'm so pleased
However, it says
"Please confirm your name and full postal address within ten working days or the prize will be re-allocated."
but it doesn't say how to confirm your details. I've replied to the email with my details and presume that's all they need? Anybody won with the independent before that can help. I don't want to lose my prize!!
Thanks :j0 -
A reply by e-mail is all that is required. Well done.Thank you all who post.0

This is a strange situation but my father is finding himself having to complain after winning £2500 on spot the ball. He is obviously very happy with winning £2500 but after reading this i would appreciate your thoughts and comments. The competition has a £5000 prize for being 'spot on' and £2500 for nearest if there is no 'spot on' winner. It refers to prizes shared if more than one winner. My father received his congratulations letter (and £2500 cheque) and at first was really excited and thinking what would he would spend it on etc. Reading the letter again he noted it actually referred to him being the 'spot on' winner and that due to it being a roll over week he had won a whopping £2500. He was then thinking about the main prize being £5000 and with him being THE winner he was not sharing the amount and with it being a roll over he might have expected even more. What would you do? It seems a same to be complaining about winning £2500 as that is a decent prize which most people would be happy to have but do you think he has a case for a larger prize? Thanks.0

Hi fair. This post needs to be in comps. discussion thread. Will ask a BG to move it
In answer to your question, is it possible that your dad was in fact one of two (or possibly 4, if it was a rollover) "spot on" winners?. The wording in the letter you have received refers to him as being the winner. That letter could have gone out to the other winner or winners as well. You need to speak to the company involved and clarify how many winners there were that week.

We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -
