For me it was a pop up tent 2 weeks after I first started entering, the kids loved it! Since then I've had a steady stream of wins including some nice biggies xxx

 Aaargh, so annoying, makes me so mad. How can someone LIE like that?!

Surely it can't be allowed, she is charging a fee, so can't something be done about it? Trading Standards or whatever :rotfl: I am hopeless, I have no clue what you would need to do. I'm pretty sure that it's not just morally wrong but illegal in some ways, the claims she makes are unfounded and definitely false!!

  • Sweetie, one of us is getting our wires a bit crossed, and I think it is you :) PPS was answering jopwo I think, not quoting Julielouise from her site :) If I am wrong I will buy you a beer, if you are wrong you can buy me a car :)
We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Yeah, but you have to pay for the full version of Roboform, plus you have to have an extra bar in firefox, and it's an extra thing to be running...
AutoHotkey uses pretty much no memory and I use it for other things too, such as making capslock behave - shift capslock turns it on or off, otherwise it does nothing... same with insert...

Thank you for sharing but it was way over my head.

btw, Roboform is less than £20, and gives discounts if you wanted multiple copies. Its def helped me win way more than that, and lets dh and my mother enter quite a few comps at the same time, thanks to its multiple ID cards.
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx

As suggested in Martin's Comping for Cash guide (here), you can use Autohotkey to set-up hotstrings to quickly type data into forms.
I've written a custom script which really helps me. I still only have to think of the data, but the first letter of each bit of information fills out the form for me, allowing me to quickly tab over to the next item.

Hi vaderdrag, thanks for reminding folks about it, but it has been in the Comping Guide since Aug '08. :D Martin's Comping Guide for Cash used our Comping Guide to gather hints & tips for putting into his Guide ;)

For more information on the AutoHotKey & a dummy script which just needs your own details typed on & saved, please look at the Comping Guide. It is in there beacuse I use it as it saves me typing on the flash entry forms which Robo can't always see :) (Another use is, for example, when you get a chunky box that wants your whole address & Robo has ignored it, I just hold down my ALT key & tap 'z' - as I have set that up to type in all of my address in block format, or my phone number is just ALT x)

Check it out under Getting Started (I) > 5 How do you enter so many? / Is there a way to save me having to type in all my info time after time? > look at the 5th item down :)

The AutHotKey Template I wrote (well BF wrote :D ) is still available on the link in the Guide. It takes a little getting used to but after that it is really good, but you use what is easiest for you & what you are used to!
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

That site is terrible and what is with the annoying vines growing up the side of the computer screen which won't go away!?!

Anywho... I was just wondering how long you guys 'comped' for before winning... I'm not impatient, just ambitious! xx

i comped last year for around 6 weeks then other things interfered and i quit, won a runner up prize in a bliss comp then though. came back in time for the december advent calendar comps, won nothing from the 2 weeks of them i entered before going away. this year i have entered most dailies/weeklies/postal compa everyday and many of the normal comps too. and had lots of wins in feb, march and april so far. but my whole day is devoted to comping, around fb games, and keeping up with eamils/lj/discussions/other internet things. its a rare day that i dont spend at least 3-4 hours entering comps on here though.
