If you had to be registered with the site to enter, then it is most likely you would have to log in before you can enter.
The T&C's do not say anything about registering and that (it) "is open to anyone from around the world over the age of 18."
So I would say you don't have to register. There has been a few MSE winners, perhaps one of them could confirm that they didn't.

Handy to have someone techy on board. Something that I wondered is, if there is an email address on MSE, and people just click that, does it show up that the email address came from MSE, or the same if you copy the email directly into your own email address box.

Hope you understand what I mean.

Often we get site owners popping in as they noticed that their comp is on here - how does that work? must be tracking somehow???

afaik sites can track what page visitors come from.....so if i click alink on here that takes me to a t3 comp page they can see that the page i was on prior to their page was mse...unless you have set your settings to not show a referal page (gets to comlicated for me to understand at that point lol).

i dont think they should be able to tell where you got the email addy from no matter if you click, or copy paste or click their own link..unless email headers can tell them, but i doubt they would be spending time looking at every entries email headers etc.

Both I and my Husband have won from the site and we didn't register at all if that helps.

You don't need to enter at all and they do have a gallery showing their winners. I won when I first posted the comp yonks back and when that went to game over others posted it too. There have been several mse winners. Good Luck for your entries
If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

You need to enter every day, but you don't need to register.
