I'm not particularly techy so I don't know for sure, but I don't think they'd be able to tell that a form was filled by a filler instead of by typing it in?
I've always assumed that it would look the same to them whichever way it was done and if so I guess theres no worry about them removing the entry!
Maybe someone more techy could answer for sure though if it's a different case?0 -

I think we are down to 2 BGs at the moment, so they're going to be busy.
so if I find a comp that has finished early, it appears that it is better to PM a BG rather than just click "expired"; is that correct?

it takes 5 people to click expired - i normally just ask other people to press the expired button either in here or on twitter - means that i don't have to PM a board guide and wait until they move it and have someone else bump it in the meantime to say it's expired lol2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89

I misunderstood your earlier question, sorry for the confusion, I thought you were asking about comps being moved when they reach the expiry date posted. As blackmidnight says, when 5 people have clicked the expired button it will be moved. I always understood that the expired button was there to save bumping threads, so I can't understand why people click and then post that they have done it, it defeats the object of the button.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I build websites for a living, and have done several competition pages.
I can only speak for what I do, but I can say that we don't try and spot people who use form fillers.
Some people actually require them for accessibly reasons, so I doubt any site would exclude people who use them.
On a technical note, it would be fairly tricky to spot people using them. Also, some browsers even have simple form fillers built in (Firefox for example).0 -
Cheers for that mpsduck.Nice to have a techie view. All I know is that I use Roboform & have won quite a bit. When I first started comping in 2008 I did not know about it & hardly won anything, mainly due to my low entry rate caused by my terrible typing skills I'd expect.0

They're just for fun. The aim of the A-Z challenge is to try and see if you can win a prize for each letter of the alphabet during the year and the Christmas challenge is to try and win your christmas pressies by comping.
Prob should try to win just something first then lolSealed pot challenge 18750 -
