Boo slept from 7.30pm to 7am , due to me not letting her have a nap at tea time like DD does;):DShe is now up Peppaing, and laughing at the dogs:rotfl::rotfl:Taking her to see my Great Aunt who's 91 and lives in a lovely home , and is cared for by nuns, who Boo laughs at all the time:o:oThink it's the head gear that does it;)
Not doing much OS today except the usual washing, drying etc, and might do a bit of decluttering later:D
Well done on the job Haribo:T:T
(((huggles))) to all those in need today xx:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Morning all
Grey and overcast here but no rain, hopefully it will turn out sunny so I can go for a walk later. I love how it's getting darker later now
I'm off to the cinema tonight, going to see Valentine's Day with the girls. We have half price voucher's from a scheme in one of the girl's workplace so tickets are only £4 each
so I think I will have popcorn for tea :rotfl:
Today I'm in the mood for sorting stuff out so I am going to tidy paperwork, updated my virus protection, look for new mobile contract, look for a holiday and some weekend breaks and order photos to be printed.
I also need to start packing a suitcase....again! I'm away with work Tuesday to Friday. I have a case already packed with some of the stuff I will need. I go away 3/4 times a year with work for the same trip, full of outdoor pursuits, so have set clothes for it. I won't be doing all the outdoor pursuits though as I'm still low on energy after last week's illness. I normally enjoy the time away, plus I spend no money and get fed for the week
OS wise I need to wash dishes, hoover, freeze or use up whatever fresh stuff I have in fridge that won't be eaten by Tues and sort laundry as I didn't do that yesterday!
Have a great day all

Bitsy I dont think there is much of the cake left TBH

Nic I bought a blueberry bush last year and we had masses of fruit from it ( I think you need another blueberry bush nearby for pollination ( next door have one
) it was very worthwhile hoping its as good this year
both DD's are off to coach gymnastics this morning , its great that they are able to earn some money plus it helps them to keep fit as well.
chicken for dinner . I roasted it yesterday and took the breasts off for today , we had the leg meat in some fajitas and the rest will go in a rissotto tomorrow
picking DD's up later and then we are going to Debenhams in town to look for prom dresses

Morning all,
Lashing with rain here and blowing a gale, set in for the day I think. I am doing NO DIY today, we are both having a day off from it, yesterday I gave the kitchen a 2nd coat, (it will need another,) which took me all day, OH put the new flooring in DD's bedroom, and it makes such a difference.
There were two carpets nailed down in her room, the top one being navy blue, and dark brown wallpaper, it was like a cave in there, looks much brighter now :T
Might pop up to homebase later with dd and look for wallpaper, going to do a roast happy chook later with all the trimmings, looking forward to that. Beds need stripping and changing, but I wont wash them today, as its too wet out.
A lady over the road has started to sell free range eggs, will have to go and see what she is charging, but you don't get much more local than that :T.
OK need more tea, hope you all have good days x0 -
Hi Guys!
We are still away but may com back today due to the weather. Have a dongle broadband thingy that we got for £3pm through one of Martin's deals which does come in handy whilst away:D
TBH, I havent done much whilst away as Ive spent most of the time asleep in bed as I feel so drained. Find out this week how long I will be going into hospital for, but hopefully it wont be long.
We found a lovely kennel for the dog which was very reaonable and he loved it and it also gave us a break for the day but knowing he would get loads of walks, attention etc as we've had a lot of thinking to do about a few different things we are having to decide upon atm.
Anyway, hope you are all okay.
Thanks for all the messages BTW. They mean a lot.

Morning all......................((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Thank you for the anniversary wishes, very kind of you all.....we have been together for 20 years, married for 13 (long story) We are celebrating by going to an antique fair in the village hall later and I bought a meal deal from Tesco for supper tonight along with a bottle of rose.
I fell asleep for over an hour on the settee last night, did not exoect to sleep but did and woke at 8.30am, not sure if its the change of air, but I have been sleeping so much better since we came here.
I had an hour in the sewing room yesterday, finished off one cushion and started on another, I'll post pictures when they are both finished.
Nothing else planned for today. I need to get back to meal planning, its gone sadly awry in the last month. Its nice to be able to sit at the table and eat a meal instead of struggling with it on a tray.
The wood burner was still in this morning, so a bit of kindling and a couple of pieces of dry wood and away it went........since I cleaned the glass yesterday its been nice to see the flames dancing....quite hypnotic......
I need to get back into a cleaning routine now the house is more or less straight, so bedroom end tomorrow, kitchen and sitting room end on Friday.......I did a laod of washing yesterday which needs folding and putting away, just have a polo short to iron for OH when I have the iron on. It will be nice when its fine enough for us to dry the clothes outside, but so far drying in the guest bedroom has worked ok, I had been thinking about a tumble dryer, changed my mind........I can manage without one.
I also need to up the amount we put into the saving account for the car and house insurance etc, to cover the delivery of oil in the summer for next winter and also wood for the stove. Finances are gradually recovering from the move, it will take a bit longer to pay off the credit card, but I over pay every month, by about £200 so it should come down fairly quickly......I hate being in debt!!
Time for another coffee................see y'all later..............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Like Terry's Chocolate Oranges, they are all mine :rotfl:
Had a lovely lunch yesterday at the cafe in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow which is conveniently positioned just opposite the Buchanan bus station and we met up with some lovely MSE Bootsers from the west, hopefully the first of many meets around the country.
There was/is a Fair Trade Experience going on but I'm afraid the pull of Primark took us to Argyle Street and my bargain of the day was one of their lovely fluffy dressing gowns for a mere £1 and the savings I made there I splurged on a black and white floral washing up brush for £6 but it does match my kitchen
Anyway, all totally off topic of OS it was just the mention of HJ baking cookies prompted my post as her hamper of OS goodies seems to still be lost in the postal system

Hi everyone I am new on here so I hope there is room for one more. I've been reading on the site all last night and at half four when i couldn't sleep (had to put the new puppy out for a poo so was wide awake after walking round the garden with her in the rain!)
I'm making a roast chicken today then I am going to boil the carcass and make a broth and make the chicken noodle soup that i have read about on here - wish me luck.
I've also been reading about saving money and making my own bread so I've just reserved a bread maker in Argos (a really cheap one to get me started from the cookworks range) and I'm going to make bread today.
Have taken the three dogs for a walk in the rain already and now just waiting for shops to open so i can get my breadmaker and flour etc and start baking.
