    Hi NID,

I'd never do that to you after all your help! :D

I'll update when I hear from them - or the other companies after the letters sent out today.

    Cheers again, you're a star.

Whats your balance and how much are you paying them? Is this the only DMP account or have you others....?

God no mate - it'll be fine, I just need more details ;)

No chance - stop worrying, the debt is already unenforceable but we have to assume Monster did things right to date, so send the letter as advised and see what they come back with and let me know..... :D

righto, confession time. I haven't told anyone this, not even 'er indoors, well ok just my pops who was going to "helpout" financially but he was going to spend money that he had saved for his retirement doing it, I am quite a proud person and haven't asked for help previously so just speaking to pops about it was a massive step for me, so don't tell a person....ssshh.
:D (I KNOW I AM ON A PUBLIC ACCESSIBLE FORUM!!)

But things are really tight. maybe not as bad as others on the forum but the stress is real and I find myself constantly thinking about it and it's a Millstone around me neck.

thanks for your replies NID, they are really appreciated.

The debt was for £15,000 and they've said that they'll consider "up to" £6000. Do you think that the DCA will be open to a better offer?.

Just been thinking, can you send me the CCA again to check over, I may have missed something...... won't say too much right now but please PM me the links to the uploads for this agreement/terms.... ;);)

I'll be back in 30 mins to check over it. I have a sneaky suspicion i've missed something here - put simply, banks do not make such offers - certainly not at 33% of debt.... that is cracking and it makes me suspect i've missed something on a *possible* unenforceable agreement..... let me confirm before getting excited! :D

From experience, this is not right - something somewhere is not right. I dunno what, but something!

I know that, but in a weird way I do still eagerly check for mail to see what dross they are going to send me.

I know, I should be happy with just pizza take-away flyers and bin bags from charity shops on my floor in front of the letter box!:rotfl:

I have one CC with approx £13k balance on it. I pay approx £330 a month and don't have any other debts, apart from my mortgage. Sorry don't speaka da lingo what's a DMP ?

Mate, sorry with you saying you're paying the monthly minimum I assumed you meant on a Debt Management Plan (DMP).... I never knew you were like paying the actual minimum monthly payment!

Ok, Ignore last letter/advice. Can you confirm do you have anything from Barclays - have you seen the CCA or anything?

If not then it'd be better to start from scratch so I can see what they do or don't have. As you have a mortgage I am not happy at trusting a 3rd party claim firm and would rather see the CCA myself - is that ok?

If so, start from the beginning - send this: CCA Request

You realise though at the end of it all you will get a default - are you happy with that? If not then forget this route.... ;)

Bet you feel better already after the confession? Well done, don't be ashamed, the fact you're dealing with it shows immense maturity in itself. :D:D:D

  • Just a quick question. Going to send off the final letter to First Credit today re Aqua Debt as they have not come back with anything!.:D

Also re my Barclaycard CCA thing I am going through got a couple of questions:
I sent the first letter off 12 days ago now and have posted the response I got from them on here (Nothing basically) Do I not sent the 12+2 letter? Never in Doubt if you read this :-) You said no? So am unsure if I should send it or not? :o

Finally I have a Barclay's account and I am so worried that they are going to swipe my wages when they come in? Can they do this? I've left it too late this month to open a new account to get my wages in? But while they have not sent the letter can they still remove money from my bank account? (Never set up a DD used to pay online with a debit card (number of debit card changed since last payment)
2010 is the year I'm going to sort my life out! :j

Overdraft: [STRIKE]£1050[/STRIKE] £980 Capital One: £200 Loan: [STRIKE]£7500[/STRIKE]£1700 (Due to finish in Nov :j) Currently contesting enforceability of Aqua & Barclaycard.
