That letter you got is fine, it is their final response, in retaliation to yours...... just ignore them now unless they send anything legal looking in which case let me know.
It is still unenforceable - that won't change no matter what they think....
Ah. that's a relief. Sorry it took me so long to respond things got a bit rough around my house (not debt related) and I've been out of commission.
Nothing from them since then though. So will keep my fingers crossed, that they just leave me alone.
Thanks again. You are a complete sweetheart. :kisses:0 -
Thanks everyone - the post as quoted below was deleted, shame the user is still here thoughLike Martin's heavily endorsed charter for freeloading scum:

Good Morning to you all,
I received a reply from Lloyds TSB yesterday in response to my UE letter.
The letter is headed FINAL RESPONSE and it goes on to say that they disagree with my complaint (telling them this debt is unenforcable) and that if i am not happy then to treat this as their Final Response.
What does this mean exactly? Do i just ignore them now and continue not paying any money to them? and are they able to set off money from my current account with them? (i dont use that account, but it is still open as i have an OD im trying to pay off)
Hope ive made sense.
Thanks in advance x0 -
Hi N-i-d,
Hope all is well, excellent thread. I have just recieved a default notice threatening to take me to court etc. I requested the cca back in October, have sent them all the letters plus the final ue letter and now they have sent this. shall I send them another Final letter or just ignor it? Many Thanks MACO.0 -
Hi,
Another new poster. Really wanted to say thanks, this thread has been a real eye opener, I must have read every post over the last month. Nid, thank you so much and of course to all the users who have uploaded their letters and kept them on photobucket etc.. Its being able to compare these with my own and of course niddys advice and letters that have helped me thus far.
I hope its okay that I pm'd you nid, I've come across one that seems enforceable, which is fine if thats the case - you cant win em all huh, nevertheless, if you could pass your eyes over it that'd be great. I've prepared CCA query - terms & conditions ready to send tomorrow on the off chance its unenforceable. Its the first time I've been sent more than an application form. I'd post links but am too new so sent them in a PM. When I have enough posts I will upload all my letters to photobucket from various companies and post the link in case others wish to compare in the future.
kind regards

Ok, lets see what they try and do then! When/if they return anything we'll worry about it then. Just do me a favour, can you try and give me a brief sypnosis of events to date as it will help me determine whether to respond or not.
Basically just give me a small bullet point list of what has happened - i.e. have I said it is unenforceable etc - what have you sent them etc etc
I will then possibly do a letter for you to send back threatening them with legal action of your own - as you do
Blimey NID missed a bit of a hoo har I see.:mad::mad:
I will post the list for you later today thanks for responding:T:T
Yah boo sucks to those who are rude to the NID:mad:

Hiya
The crappy one agreement you sent me was in fact enforceable, unfortunately. Basically you have a couple of options - you can try and blag it or arrange repayment.
You say your credit file is knackered anyway, so if I was you i'd have a go at blagging it and see what happens, if things get too hairy then just let me know and we'll stop any serious action - but to be fair there isn't too much they can do other than start for CCJ - but we can stop that happening so long as you update us whenever you get a reply?
So, to blag it send this and see what they come back with: CCA Query - Terms & Conditions Supplied2010 - year of the troll

Hiya
You need to follow the thread and not just come in once every blue-moon or you'll never learn anything! I do not mind assisting and offering advice but i'm not here to be everyones personal assistant!
I clearly say in almost every reply that we WANT/NEED the lender to issue a final response, this in turn allows us to send one back to them - i.e. it's a stalemate, great - job done - well done :T

Hiya
A default notice doesn't mean they are going to court! All UE accounts get defaulted that is normal, can you be more specific or scan and email me the letter?
If you have already sent a final response then you leave things alone - when did you send the final response? Thing is I never even made the final response template until February so i'm dubious as to how you sent it, cos it wasn't there in October 09?2010 - year of the troll
