    Morning Nid,

Would it be wise to continue paying Egg until the court case in June? Will this court case have any major bearing on other companies CCA's?

Also are you aware of any issues with the CCA's for Egg loans and GUS home shopping?

    Thanks

Can you help with a response to Barclaycard? Sent of CCA request in Sept 2009, they eventually sent out a copy of an application form and a couple of printed sheets about Sources of Information, nothing else.

I wrote back on 24 Feb 2010 telling them I wanted true copy, account was in dispute and have heard nothing back, except for a letter in March asking for payment and now another one today asking for payment again. Threatening legal proceedings, what letter do I send them now<

    Thanks SNS :D

    Hi NID

Have received a photo copy of a credit card agreement with Halifax this morning _pale_.
If you get the time would you be able to have a look at it please? I know you are super busy at the moment so if yu get chance would be great.
They say in the accompanying letter that they cannot find the original agreement but have satisfied their obligations by sending the photo copy.:(:(:(

    Thankyou

I haven't. Is that what you think this forum is about? A question and answer session between debt-dodgers and experts, everyone else has to keep their mouth shut? I'm not criticising what you're doing, but if you're going to help people free themselves of debt by posting advice in to the public domain, at least do it in a way which makes sense.

Also, it's not nit-picking, it's common sense. Someone sends you a PM, you reply to it via PM. Simples.

If, however, you choose instead to reply on-thread, in a way which makes sense to everyone else, fine. You didn't though. That's all I'm saying. No need to be so sensitive.

I resent the fact that you think posters are "debt dodgers". You really shouldnt make assumptions, people on this thread may have many reasons to look at enforceability of credit agreements and believe me it is NOT an easy out. Its a last resort. Do you really think people would choose to be harrassed to death by DCA's, threatened on a daily basis not to mention the fear of loosing everything they may have worked for all their lives? ITS NOT A WALK IN THE PARK ITS A LAST RESORT:think::think::think:

Its lucky for those of us struggling that there are kind people taking time out to help us:T:T:T:T:T

    Oh - are they debt-dodgers? :think::think::think:

Not the wisest thing you've said, to be quite frank.

If the egg agreement is unenforceable then no, cease payments. The case in June may not change anything, however the fact remains they still still need the original signed agreement before they can enforce anything.... :D

  • NID,

I'm starting this process with a DCA who is currently in control of an old Barclaycard account. They are currently threatening legal action so I would like to send the the CCA request ASAP, however I am out of the country for 4 weeks from the 20th April, should I wait until I return or just send it now?

    Cheers,

    Ash
