I suspect so but why would you wish to do that

Well I was under the impression that the computer runs better with out unnecessary applications and the like and also that it would give me more space on the C drive, - but have I got that wrong???????Typically confused and asking for advice0 -
Hi
I've had broadband for 4 years and never thought of uninstalling the modem drivers. Would it really make a pc much faster?

Yes, but removing the modem drivers will neither give you more drive space nor make the machine perform faster. Not at all. IMHOWell I was under the impression that the computer runs better with out unnecessary applications and the like and also that it would give me more space on the C drive, - but have I got that wrong???????

The amount of space taken up by modem drivers on your hard drive will be tiny and any difference in performance will be so small as to be un-noticable.
It won't hurt if you remove them though. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

But the OP is correct in that is is generally good policy to remove unused software from a PC. One redundant program doesn't do any harm, but they do have a habit of building up...No free lunch, and no free laptop

No you haven't, but modem drivers take up very little space, However - I would remove them. Remove as much extraneous crap from your OS as you can.
Remember that you are still using a modem to get broadband though and don't remove the drivers for that.0 -
