Thanks SmlSave xx *rolls sleeves up and packs bags in anticipation*
I'm one of those people that'll do loads manically then do nothing for ages so am having to make the most of while I can!!
I think I finally managed a NSD yesterday :j apart from the postage for th'ebay items (which is already covered) not one solitary penny left my purse (not that theres many pennies in there anyway!) Whoop!! I have 2 more items paid for now so will pop there on the way home. I think I'll make another NSD today as DansDad took me to work (we work together as well ). My car (Willie) was getting humpy yesterday as he wanted diesel but I've made him wait til tomorrow! Will have to use DansDads car to get to yard!!! Hopefully I'll make Mr S before he runs out.
Managed to get some more wages so will be doing another small OP this afternoon, and put another small payment into the car payoff plan!!
Work has picked up again so thats good so DansDad job should be safe until September!

I spent £20.95 for mothers day yesterday with M8onpig on 2 cards and a photo mug for my ma.
Spent another £30 this morning on diesel for Willie, I couldnt persuade him to go another day!
DansDad helped me with Dan and Old Horse last night which was lovely and as a thank you I graciously 'let' him watch the football while I started decluttering the sideboard! Sorted 4 drawes so far filed DansDad and my bank statements and found a couple of small things for th'ebay and a Tesco voucher for £1 and two unstamped 2nd class stamps *steams off to reuse (shifty smiley)* Today I have put £100 into my 'Pay Willie off early' fund and shifted £75 to Cahoot for spends. I still have a few things to post today but shouldnt have to spend anything else. Phew!!No more OP on the mortgage yet but things looking healthy I think I've nearly done £1000 this year so on target

Am thinking about buying the freezer we have at work which is not used and filling it up with bread etc. Does milk freeze and thaw OK??? Anything else I can freeze in bulk??
Milk freezes really well. It does goes a darker, yellowy colour whilst actually frozen, but gets it's normal apprearance back when it's defrosted again! We buy reduced price milk all the time and freeze it.
Bread of course freezes well too. As do scones, teacakes etc. Again, if you're near a supermarket that reduces stuff, it's great to go and buy all twelve packs of choc muffins, and freeze 'em! Broth is excellent as a frozen meal too.
If you're definitely getting a bigger freezer, have a hunt around for those 1970s/1980s freezer cookery books. (charity shop, car boot sale) Best thing I ever bought! They give loads of tips about how to freeze stuff, what freezes best etc.
And start to save up your ice cream cartons, and margarine tubs. They'll come in handy when you start to make double batches of all the cooking, to freeze the extra. I can go weeks without cooking now, just get tomorrows tea out the freezer before I go to bed each night!! Defrost things at room temperature though, otherwise the money you've saved goes on running the microwave to defrost stuff if you're forgetful!:rotfl:
You're doing fantastic by the way - I do enjoy catching up on your diary (even if it does make me feel tired, and totally lazy just reading it!!)

Shucks thank you for that
I have thoroughly been a naughty spendy person today.... I have discovered Oxfam online and bought 3 tops and a pair of trousers for £22, spent £56 in Cotton traders on tops and shoes and £10 in the studio catalogue for a longline cardi. Now I dont do clothes shopping - hate it - so would rather do it that way. I need new stuff for this job I start as my current one I can slop around in jeans etc. Funny that my old stuff from 10 years ago doesnt fit anymore....:o
Other than that Ma has bought Dans and Old Horse's food for the weekand I spent a very productive Friday de cluttering the Cupboard Under the Stairs and the Sideboard! Oh and made flapjacks.... I have an extremely full recycling bin now to eek out til Friday next week...
At work so at least earning what I spent. I can have the other freezer so now I have room for it I can clean it out and bring it home. Thanks to alfiesmum for the tips :grouphug: I plan to fill it with milk/bread/everything else! I plan not to do a whole lot tomorrow have a bit of a clop round the block as its nice and interrupt DansDad while he watches the footie
Hope everyone having a nice weekend xxxxxxMFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

I've had to do some major chucking out for this freezer and its only the size of a fridge so not a huge one.
Well did a bit more than I thought today, got out in the garden did a bit of clearing up and DansDad cut the grassSpring is springing I have heads on 2 daffs (they're my favourite) NSD for me which, lets be honest, I needed after yesterday! Dan and me went for our clop and we did interrupt the footie, although he got himself into a right old temper on the way home which was, quite frankly, embarrasing
.
Really tired tonight, have another day off tomorrow so can veg out after hoovering etc.....:pMFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

Another spendy day today but I was bloomin chuffed.
Cruised our local charity shops for new work clothes and got a Dotty P's shirt £4.49, a pair of F&F trousers £3.25 (although they munch a bit:rotfl:) and a Marks and Sparks jumper for £3.50 also got a small pic for the kitchen for £1.49.
Then popped to Co-Op just as they'd whoopsied the bread so got 3 loaves for 90p and some whoopsied lemon cheescake for £1 altogether spent £8.51 there.
The big one was at the Vets where cat number 4 cost £40 for antibionics and special food.... The thing is that the rest of them will need to be on it too so thats only going to be a short term thing... I think Cat number 4 will need to be re homedwhich I would never ever in a million years ever do (pony number 1 with us for 21 years and died aged 44) but he is being bullied by Cat number 1.... Really sad.
Should explain that Dan is my beloved (ahem) horse and he's my babywas in a better mood today. Sunny day again and have hoovered, dusted, done 3 loads of washing and now cooking lentil and pasta mix to make soup for lunches. Am going to roast courgettes, peppers, onions and mushrooms and freeze the leftovers.
Any way back on topic have put another £50 in the 'Pay Willie off' fund and another £25 off the mortgage so flippin chuffedGot 14 things ending on ebay tonight so will be a little more money for the pot. Got 5 more things to go on but they can wait til Friday then what hasnt sold can go to the charity shops.
Phew looking forward to bed tonight but Spring is springing as I now muck out in daylight
Many hugs xxMFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15
