Hi DansMum, been lurking on your diary & just wanted to help demotivate you: What would feel better being mortgage free (with all the freedom that gives you) or a new (at first) and shinny (for a while) bike?
*returns to lurking*Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

I am now tempted with a new bike. I dont need it I have a perfectly good one already which is paid for, costs minimun to insure/tax etc but this one is beautiful....... Please demotivate me as I am going to lower wages and it would take almost all of my savings to pay for the difference to what I would get for mine to what this one is worth....
:(:(
musnt do it...:rotfl:
Have you got some where safe to keep it? An expensive bike can't be left - even with a lock. No more just nipping into the shops.....0 -

Hi everyone - many thanks for the demotivating its just what I need...
*reluctantly shuffles away from shiny red beastie*
If I really really really really still want one in 12 months then I'll get one they'll hopefully be a little cheaper over winter and I could pay the balance on a 0% cc which would be better than getting finance. But mine wount be worth as much as it is now... Hey Ho
Anyway today DansDad has gone to the bank with back wages and I am paying £340 off the credit card and £500 into to the bank. Hopefully I can extract another few pounds for another OP this month.
Yesterday went for clop on t'horse for the first time since October he was really good and it was a lovely day sunny and promising Spring. Going to do that again on SundayBeen for a meeting today with new boss for job feeling a lot happier about it now he's really cool we spent most of the time chatting about music! Must remember that when I start that I am there to work :A:rotfl:
We have had a no heating day yesterday! Yay! New hoover been delivered today so will have to succumb to getting rid of huge tumbleweeds of cat hair which have deposited themselves in my living room.
Have a great weekend everyone xxxxMFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

:DI nearly managed it yesterday but spent 60p on a banoffee muffin at work as I was bored bored bored.....
Today have spent £42 on shoppingbut got some reduced items for DansDads lunches this week.
Started 3 jars one for shrapnel, one for 20p/50p and one for £1/£2 which is our Mugello fund for next May. I spent most of last night a woman on a misson searching everywhere for change found over £1.50 in my bedside cabinet!!! :rotfl:Its been a gorgeous day today nad have removed tumbleweeds of cat hair with new hoover, not bought a new exhuast for the bike on th'ebay, groomed both nags, and finally got rid of the mountains of glass building up in the back garden to the recycling. DansDad has kindly cleaned my bike which has been growing a new species of antibiotic since September. I also made choccie buns and flapjacks
Will try try try not to spend anything tomorrow :A

Why thank you very kindly
Today equally as productive!
£100 paid off the mortgage - check
New 0% credit card for 9 months balance transferred from Tesco card - check(aim to clear by Nov 2010) (oh and got £20 cashback through Quidco)
Savings 'plan' started with Virgin one to save £2500 between now and June 2011 to try to get car paid off by then - check
So far havent spent anything (but have posted cheque off for new hoover)
Grocery shopping needs economising. I worked out that me and DansDad spent £218 in 5 weeks for us two and t'dog. I would like to get that down to £150 if poss. Dog doesnt eat that much luckily so not worth bulk buying like I do for the cats. My freezer and fridge are both really full so will have to do an inventory (where are me gloves?)
DansDad whingeing he hasnt got a flapjack for lunch! He had loads yesterday starting to look like one........:p
Its dry here but flippin cold!!!! My cold water overflow was dripping this morning but had stopped by the time I went to work so phew! I am skiving off at 3 today going to bank to pay in takings then off to extract horse for a small clop around the block. He'll be thrilled!

Ok now I'm really getting motivated. 16 items I listed on th'ebay last week finished last night, 10 sold!! I cant believe some of things I put actually did sell!! All started at 99p so no listing fees
So far 5 paid for and posted, so paypal balance after fees/postage on these is £44.77
Have relisted 2 items (the others can go to the PDSA shop) and listed 14 others and listed 25 books on GreenMet. I am on a roll. I would like to do £90 by 1st April when Dans first livery payment is due.:rotfl:
Have listed two more items on't th'ebay for work today to go someway to tackling the huge gas bill we have before I go on 26/3I have organised a new dentist appointment, been to the bank, posted th'ebay items, booked loads of work!!!! Now going to call HMRC for my P45.
Cooked an ancient quiche while the oven was on last night been in the freezer for 12 months  hopefully I dont die as I have some for lunch.... Am thinking about buying the freezer we have at work which is not used and filling it up with bread etc. Does milk freeze and thaw OK??? Anything else I can freeze in bulk??
