    Home / Simplify :
Do a little housework everyday so shouldnt need a big blitz once a week. Hahahahaha whatever!!!! Will dust living room tonight and clean bathroom
Keep freezer and cupboard inventories so no need to spend nilly nilly. Check still running and enough to see to end of the month
Declutter the loft and ebay/carboot/charity everything. Not been in loft, but more selling in the next 24 hours

    Yard / Horses:
Keep my tack/feed room tidy and floor swept! Swept this morning
Try and make horse treats rather than buy them ahem
Clean my tack at least once a month
Get Danny fitted for a new saddle this spring Definatley needed

    Money:
Try to make my OP target on the mortgage challenge £242.22 paid so far
Work out a grocery challenge budget and stick to it.
Increase my ISA as much as possible and transfer it to a better rate

In general be a nicer person as I find myself getting increasingly waspy... Really trying with this....

Not much to report MFW wise although have been spending quality time with my horses, although Old Horse gave me a fright yesterday as I thought he'd gone. Flat out in the field, didnt respond to being yelled at, until I got right up to him. He was sparko asleep and dreaming. Never seen that before. But that really upset me so we had a big big cuddle for a while....:o

Have booked DansDad timne off to do the fencing and get my hen area ready as I'm bursting to get my hens sorted this year :D Have vouchers and Christmas money for the fencing and pickaxe (dont ask) so in 2 weeks time it should be well underway. Then basically cut everything down that we dont want, level off the garden then paving etc. Aiming to get it done by April/May time so I can enjoy time in the garden this summer...

Have spent £102 today  on new winter gloves for the bike so I can get it out earlier this season therefore (she reasons) saving fuel money..... But then I also bought a rather nice pair of proper biking jeans as my others are 2 sizes too big now :rotfl:

Suns out here and nearly the end of January so Spring is nearly upon us .... :D

Are you sure people arn't making you waspy? You seem like a lovely person to me :)

Ahhhh pickaxes.....we have something like a 6ft by 4ft garden and needed a pickaxe to break through rocks/builders rubble the size of our shed! Be careful of flying pieces DansMum and DansDad!

Ah now.... can get really waspy for no apparent reason, I know I'm doing it but just cant stop myself though sometimes.... The pickaxe will be DansDads domain am sure its a man thang....

Well my plan went outta the window... When I got the boys in yesterday, Danny had managed to skin the inside of his back leg. Subsequently I spent an hour bathing and trying to persuade gargantuan amounts of sudocrem to stick to whats left. Luckily its not infected but its clearly very very sore. One of the owners had some nappies  which we used to hold the sudocream in place then cohesive bandage then a tubular bandage on over the top. Its stayed in place overnight and I've put him out in his old field today. They were both a bit spooky as they havent been in that field for 6 weeks or so, so Old horse disappeared off at a rate of knots hotly followed by Dan who then realised that his leg hurt. ooh ooh ooh... So am back to bathing morning and night..... Fingers crossed I dont need to call out the One Who Has Needles....

So in the absence of a nice ride today I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. will dust the living room later. Have a massive tofu and vegetable and tomato concoction in the slow cooker for tea and have done a shop to be delivered tomorrow. Joining the Grocery Challenge next month so trying to work an average spend out....

Our garden is about 100ft x 30ft so is a good size.... I just want me hens then I'll be happy..... But we did look at some micro pigs yesterday..........Stop it!

    Figures for January

    NSD's target 12 acheived 17 :j

    Mortgage OP's £317.22

    ====

Grocery Spend (For all of the small pets too) £197.29

Diesel spend £160.01 for 123.56 litres

    'Fripperies' £102.86 for bike gear
£9.60 for swopping a tyre over on Vera

    Gas credit £81.20

    Leccy credit £148.56

Horse spend £326.38:eek: (But halved with Ma)

    Ebay sales £103 (excluding postage)

    Credit for the month £332.65 - expenditure = £463.49

OK first month doing this and it is January after all....

Will aim to equal ebay sales for Feb.

    NSD target will be 14.

Grocery Spends £175.00 for all of us.

Diesel will be equalish (I have just under half a tank)

Frippery spend under £50 (I desperatley need a hair cut)

Hopefully horse spend will be a little under as I have 3 bales bedding and someone gave me 2 bags of feed for nothing the other day.

    Hmm worth tracking
