New deal you get £50 added to your o2 mobile account if you sign up for their fastest BB.
If avail to me I would pay 12 x £2.50 more = £30.00 but get £50 credit after 60 days!!
This applies to Premium and Pro packages only, not to Home or Access (though I can't imagine anyone would be foolish enough to sign up for Access with or without a £50 bonus). No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

If I sign up to o2 Broadband via a cashback site does it slow down the process time between ordering and going live??
If o2 are giving money to the cashback site how does o2 make any money???0 -
You should ideally be able to place your O2 broadband order the same day you place your telephone line order with BT. BT have the facility to give you a code (Uswarn code i think) or something so you can do both provides together. It is how you order phone and broadband together with BT so there is nothing stopping you getting the code and giving it to another provider.... Well there is actually...
No other provider seems to have a clue what they are.... lol. More than likely down to training.
I'm not sure it applies with LLU provisions though but I know they can definately be used for standard ADSL or ADSL2+ provisions.0 -
I have yet to see a Broadband provider that will take me straight, when I insert my phone number they see it as a non BT line and it all stops there!!!
I guess it's ok most of the time whilst on a total LLU package but as others have said is that you become unstuck when you want to move on!0 -

No, you just click straight through to O2 from the cashback site, you are still ordering direct from O2, it just leaves a cookie trail in order to apply the cashback.
Presumably 02 have sufficient margin to do so-and remember that Quidco charges members £5 a year., so with 0.75m members at present, they have an income stream of approaching £4m pa from subs alone. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I also think it is easier for companies to just wait until your line is activated before they place the order. Less training I guess.0 -

How could 02 order you broadband on a line before the line exists (and before a number has been allocated? Until it appears as valid on the BT database, broadband can't be provisioned. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Not true... When you order line and broadband with BT it is known as a similtaneous privision of service. BT order the broadband on a non-existant line by adding a specific code on the line order (again USWARN code I think). When they add this code there are 4 options you can choose before generating the code. One to create a code for BT to use, one to create a code for another provider to use, another to use a code from another provider and finally a code to use which BT have already created. It is just a marker to let Openreach know that this is a simultaneous provision. There is nothing stopping another provider using the code. In fact it used to be the case that if a customer mentioned another provider BT had to give this code to the customer.0

Just got this information to back this up from Zen internet page on getting line with one provider and Zen internet as a SIM provide:
http://www.zen.co.uk/Broadband/zenbroadband/simultaneous-provide.aspx
"To take advantage of Simultaneous Provide simply follow these steps:- Call the telephone provider you wish to receive a service from at your new premises highlighting at the start of the call that you also require a Simultaneous Provide Number (also known as a Linked Order Reference Number) for simultaneous delivery of ADSL (broadband) with Zen Internet.
- If you intend to use your current telephony provider at your new premises, inform them you are moving premises and you wish to cease / cancel your current service at the same time. If you are using a different supplier at your new address, you will need to contact your current telephony supplier separately.
- The supplier at your new premises will take you through the narrowband (telephone line) order and will provide you with a reference number (usually in the form of three letters, three numbers and two letters i.e. ABC123DE)
- Before the call ends, ask them to re-check that the detail of the order allows for the simultaneous provision of an ADSL service. This is very important.
- Call Customer Services on 0845 058 9000 (option 5) with the Simultaneous Provide reference number and we will place the ADSL part of the order. We will use your reference number as part of the order with our supplier to link the two orders together."
