My closing comment... you speak of the moderator? It wasn't me that started this thread. I was merely putting across my point. Let me get this straight, I can comment, as long as it shows the answer you want? LOL
As I say, we're all entitled to an opinion. I respect yours.

What would be more open, honest and transparent that giving everyone your prices here and now rather than only posting them in private to those that have registered?
If you'd have done your homework, you would know what your customer size & growth is going to be in each of the first 3 years.
Getting it wrong could bankrupt them before they have sold 1kwh, They may have grand aspirations to run "not for profit" but I'm pretty sure its more important to be "not for loss".
Something has obviously irked you, I wasn't too impressed at the news coverage and the programme with Martin not even mentioning Ebico, but that is just not his companies fault, blame the media.0 -

exactly how you are supposed to do this I don't know, I had a quick look but nothing is clearly visible to me.
Look up Fran on this page, she should be able to assist

I have just registered my interest in receiving further information about atcostenergy on Matt's website http://www.atcostenergy.com/
If it comes to nothing, I have lost nothing.
But if it ever gets of the ground, and having done so, it is going to save me and others money, then I will be one of the first to know and can then switch supplier and save money.
We are all on this forum because we have an interest in saving money so let's keep an open mind to this. At the end of the day people either have to Put Up or Shut up.IF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j0 -
is it fair to comment that most of the big 6 are a bit like the supermarkets and the fixing price of fags thing...as in the savings are miniscule to keep swopping (ignoring cashback sites)

Yes Yes Yes, give Matt a chance, give any competition the chance. British Gas was small once, and the present setup amounts almost to a cartel, not helped by the poor performance of the regulators.0 -

I thought British Gas came about through nationalisation rather than a small company growing.
I don't disagree with new entrants to the market - I think it's a fantastic idea. I just think the only company company Matt Stockdale will end up competing against with their current setup is... Ebico - a not for profit. I also know for a fact he will not beat my energy costs of less than £200 a year unless he sells it at a massive loss. So I only see a company that won't make any difference to me, minimal impact on the big 6 and perhaps take some of the custom off Ebico. It would be nice if I am proved wrong.
Out of curiosity, are you with Ebico now? If not, why not? And if you are, why switch to atcostenergy?0 -
You could be right there Tripled, maybe atcostenergy has been set up to kill off Ebico/Ovo.Maybe the compare sites are also owned by the Big 6. What if etc.
The country needs an energy infrastructure so perhaps they are allowed the odd fiddle to keep them sweet. But competition should be unfettered.
Your £200 very impressive. How do you manage that.?0 -
I'm single and live in a 1 bed electric-only flat. My actual bills come to just shy of £300 a year, but regularly switching tariff through Quidco (approx 2-3 times a year) nets me around £80 to £100 a year cash back.
Edit: In fact you've reminded me, nPower are currently offering £65 for an ele switch, off we go...0 -
Good for you Tripled.
You're not going to wait for atcostenergy then, maybe Matt will offer cashback. :-))
I switched last year temporally to S.P then back to Ebico to keep them in the game.0
