How about one of those window stickers along the lines of those tradesmen ones :rotfl:

Tradesmen, please don't bother knocking on my door.

I am a member of https://www.moneysavingexpert.com and it is guaranteed I can find the product you are offering cheaper elsewhere!! Maybe you should try it too!!

    :rotfl:

haha- that would be ACE!! :T
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

How about an MSE toolbar :D

Effectivebrand let you create them very quickly with all sorts of features.

Don't like or use Toolbars myself, but some people seem to love them.

You can customize the searches with all the best price comparison sites if you wanted.

Edilass love your suggestion - but maybe a mite difficult;)

The only difficulty Martin would be getting the right shade of pink to go with my avatar :)

but I'll settle for Rex's idea of a download :p

Maybe T-Shirts with the web address on :)
That would be expensive and site users would need to pay. But a printable logo that could be ironed onto a plain t-shirt would be great. I'd wear it!

LOL sorry but when people do subtle to me I'm oblivious to it, and when I'm subtle to others I don't get noticed!:o

  • This is Starlites OH, I prefer to read this than post so occasionally steal her login when I want to give my 2 cents.

I'm going to confuse even myself now, so I assume you will be too

Surely if mse gets even bigger the forums will become even more full of fairly useless posts, and repeated questions.
And if everyone is doing it the mse way then the bargains will be spread really thin and hard to get, and there would be a reduction in 0% finance offers, credit cards etc, and stricter rules on 'tarting'? Plus oh so many more implications.

I say save it for the elite few who find out about it on their own initiative, rather than spoon feeding to the masses.

I went looking for this thread because I could have done with a couple of business cards yesterday evening when in M&S and chatting to a couple of managers about MSE, one hadn't even heard of Martin Lewis

I'd like to point out to the poster above that more often than not the "bargains" found on MSE are also on many other internet forums although I would question if other forums are quite as helpful to the users as they are on MSE.

MSE is not purely about spotting bargains but more about helping users become "savvy consumers" Martin's words, not mine. While a bargain is always nice its surely better to be able to reduce your borrowing costs and reduce your utilities costs across the year which is what is done on a daily basis on MSE. The benefits boards points many people in the right direction to find out what they are entitled too, you can have your insurance, tax, pensions questions answered. Mainly I might add by the helpful users answering "fairly useless posts and repeated questions".

The support network ranges from anything to stopping smoking to helping people faced with large debts.

I don't think more than 600,000 (and rising) people receiving the email could in all honesty be called the elite. Have a look at the users online at the bottom of the chat forum, there are always 2/3 rds more guests viewing the forum than there are members.

So sorry no, I will continue to shout it from the rooftops and spoonfeed it to the masses :)
