Dial a Phone - cashback easy?

Looking into new deals and wondered how easy it is to claim cashback from Dial a Phone.

My current M2YD deal is coming to an end and I know I'm not going to get another 12 months free on a 12 month contract again....

So wondered if Dial a phone is a jump through hoops kind of cashback company like e2save or not?

M2YD has been fantastic for the past 2 years, but their cashback deals have not been competitive for the past few months.

Any other companies which are easy to claim cashback from too would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I did an automatic cashback deal for my daughter last year, and they were very good with it, paid on time with no hassle. Got the Quidco promptly too.
  • You have hit the nail on the head; Mobiles2YourDoor is SO much better than any cpw dealer nowadays. You may be glad to know that Dialaphone is now part of Phones4u - as is Mobiles2yourdoor. Therefore it's likely to be a much safer bet and easier ride than anything cpw has to offer. Shame they don't have the best deals at present - but they are definitely a much better place to deal with.
  • I have had multiple cashback contracts with dialaphone. I sent my most recent bill early by mistake, I realised this and expected it not to be processed. I then recieved a cheque. I am very impressed. The terms are very clear, you can log in and check the website for the bills that need to be sent and see if they have recieved your claim. They are now part phones4u. Go via quidco or topchback as well.
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

Dialaphone are great - think I am onto my fourth deal with them now and recommended them to my bro recently as well.

When I first used them in 2005, they were not part of phones4u I think but are so now. Mobiles2yourdoor I have used as well and they too are part of phones4u.

Sent my last cashback claim on 27th Jan and I think I got a cheque in post by 4th Feb.
  • I'm glad to hear the positive comments here. Dial-a-phone have some truly awful reviews at the review centre, but some good deals on (since yesterday there have been some cashback deals which offer you a net gain over 2 years, if they pay out). I'm very tempted, but also off-put by the comments about them on the web (eg: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews75479.html)

They are updating their site, the offers are incorrect.
They had similar errors on a couple of deals which I emailed them about and were corrected after about 2 weeks.
The change to O2 tariff means all the O2 offers on their site are worth double checking before ordering.

    Thanks for the link.

However, I'm always wary of review sites. people only ever find time to review companies if service was over the top great or if it was rubbish.

I saw Dial a Phone were P4U, which is why I was considering them for the next offer.

MJ - who does have better deals pls? If CPW I shall avoid! I don't think I can be doing with e2save and the like after reading this board over the past couple of years.

So, if I were to place an order online whilst the website lists these prices, what would happen? Do they not have to honour the prices - or would they just cancel the order?

    Thanks.

Nope, they can correct genuine errors and deny an order. I had considered it myself many a time before.
Its also important for a customer to ensure what they are entering into, rather than finding out after event you are in a 24 month contract which isn't really going to cost you £2 a month but rather £15 a month.

I'm prepared to accept that they could probably cancel the whole deal, but I doubt that they could insist you go ahead with it if they have promised a cashback and then cancelled it! Or do you think otherwise? As long as one keeps records (screenshots etc) of the promises they have made then I would have thought that the only options open would be go ahead with the deal promised (cashback and all), or cancel it. Thoughts?
