    I think you'll find they cost a lot more than the tax they pay. glad to see the srike worked well as i have loads of applicants for a job i have on the js website and most after visiting the job centre.. another pointless strike...

    I would love to see the state of the benefit system if all the civil servants were fired like you wished, then you would be sorry

    You've never claimed a benefit you cry, ok then wait till you reach state pension age and there are no civil servants employed to do your claim

    I think all the hate for civl servants in this country are pathetic, you would think we were murderes or somehing ridiculous,

    As a tax payer myself I can find other things to complain about my taxes going on.

    270,000 civil servants on strike, did anyone notice? Business as usual as far as I'm concerned.

    I'm quite bemused why so many people want to strike to protect the terms of the higher paid management who they usually blame for public sector incompetence at the expense of the younger staff whose terms were to be improved. Still, a day off is a day off, any excuse.

    No people probably didnt notice as the staff who were at work on those days would have worked theit butt off.

    Clerical staff called to answer calls etc so no calls are lost.
