I think it's contrived. It happens too often. Each day they have an 'allowance' of the glitch which goes out of stock mid afternoon, people continue to buy other products to make the most of the offers. Then its all back in stock the following day and people buy the glitch. Good marketing I think - look at the exposure they get on all these forums.

There was a glitch earlier in the year, the free mascara, they forgot to change it to 'free delivery over £15' when they started that promotion and it was just before the weekend.

I may understand wants happening but I'm still suckered into it:D

Yes, or the half price vit e cream, but both are now showing as OOS.
There is still the 3 for 2 on winter essentials, where the most expensive item goes through as the free item.

If it runs out on the 28th of Feb, why would you be able to use it on the 1st of March?
