Belgium wants to seperate into 2 countries; Scotland will be independent (again) soon; Greece is bust; sounds really good for Europe.
Never mind - World Government will soon appear to save us all.

Perhaps Nigel should have looked a bit closer to home before making his comments regarding Belgium...

3 devolved governments, 1 with a Nationalist majority.

An unelected official deserves no more respect than a member of the Royal Family. I speak as a republican.

But the EU President was elected by the MEP's of their respective member states. He is MORE elected than the Royal family ever will be. It was him or Blair remember.

As you know, we don't even vote for the Prime Minister in the UK - Brown or Cameron are not voted into office, their party is and as we've seen before, the PM can step down and be replaced by anyone at any time. 'We' voted Blair and he stepped down and we got Brown.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

You have a short memory the President of the EU was definately not elected by the MEP's they had not say at all. The respective leaders of the constituant countries i.e Merkel, Sarkozy, Brown, etc sat round a table did some horse trading and choose Rumpey and Ashton.

The MEPs, our elected representative have no say at all in the process and this is why the EU is the most undemocratic organisation in the world. 500million people and no say.
