Nigel Farage does England proud by absolutely destroying unelected EU President

That's a pretty shameful action from Mr Farage.
Regardless of political leanings or even an individual's personality, one does not make such a derogatory comment against the EU's President.
If this was the UK/Commons, there'd be outrage if Cameron stood up and called Brown a one-eyed boring old to$$er. Brown maybe all those things BUT it is not professional nor what we expect from our elected members.
All this shows is Mr Farage's huge lack of tact and speech writing skills. A proper politician would have launched a barbed attack but made it sound silky smooth rather than just standing up and calling the President a c**t.
I agree. You "destroy" a political opponent with logic, reason and hard facts, not by pointing and calling them a smelly poo-bumhead. Even 6th form debating societies can do better than that. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

I was ashamed to be British watching that man.
It was a shameful attempt to score cheap, personal, non political points and obviously designed to increase his own profile by making the tabloids. The man is a disgrace, and came across as such on Question Time last night, when it seemed to me that the majority of the audience were disgusted with him too.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of the EU, political debate should be above such bully boy tactics, and if it sinks to that level those involved should be firmly told that by behaving that way they are not representing the British people, and they should be called to account for it.
I think it has raised his profile, but not in the way he imagined, nor will it have the outcome for him or his party that he imagined.0

Your quote could equally be used to describe the above.;)Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0

 So good it deserves repeating.
I stopped listening to Farage after 1 minute. It was just too embarrassing. What Farage said about Belgium not being a country was complete rubbish. I for one was unimpressed. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Sorry, you miss the very essence of the point Farage was making. Who voted for this nonenity who calls himself the EU President - NO ONE!!!!
The Lisbon Treaty/EU constitution or whatever smoke and mirrors they use to disguise the variety of descriptions was turned down by three national referundum..... they persuaded Ireland to vote for it a second time to get their way (in the midst of a recession) and THEY (the unelected, unrepresentative EU council got it through). WE now have an unelected, unknown 'bank clerk' 'in charge' with a supporting cast of career eurocrats who wouldn't know a ballot paper if it slapped them in the face.
I have had enough of this barking mad organisation.......
Common free trade market YES.... Federal Europe NO
That was the point Farage was making.0

Sorry, but you miss the point, that may have been what he was trying to get across but what actually came across was boorish, disrespectful, personal, and quite definitely counterproductive.
I don't dispute what you say, in fact I agree with your comment re free trade but not at the cost of us becoming another state with no autonomy, or say in the proceedings. That does not mean we have to sink to tthe level of a playground bully to get a point across.0
