Hi everyone! What a fab day. Loving the sunshine!! Done a bit of gardening in my shorts!

Littlekel! thanks for stopping by! I will have read your diary too and subscribed.
Yes, I am doing well, hoping for mega pay packet on 27th to continue paying off this debt. Still using cash & recording all my spends in my cash book and it's really working a treat.

Am really worried about DS#1 who's on holiday in Portugal:eek:. He's due to return home on Tuesday, but with this volcano crisis I can't see it happening. Think we'll have to send him some money over to pay for accomadation & food etc whils he waits to get a flight back. We haven't discussed it with him so far as don't want his holiday to be ruined:(. He's only 19 :(.

Doing overtime tomorrow:j. Every extra helps.
    9 days till pay day:rotfl:.

    My plan for this week:

    • at least 2 NSD's
    • send / transfer money to DS#1 stuck in portugal because of the volcano ( i'm not sure how i'm going to do this but will call bank tomorrow)
    • get DH birthday cards
    • sort out DS#2 limo for leaver's day
    • list stuff on ebay
    • loose 2lb by 25/04/10
    • no more food shopping. use what's in freezer / cupboard.
    • watch UP and send it back to love films

:T Hey missmental....love the idea of making weekly tasks of what you hope to achieve. I hope you get everything sorted for your son. This volcanic ash is causing so many problems. I have a friend who lives in canada who can't get back to the uk this week for her sisters wedding! :(

I am going to see how May goes and if i don't end up with what i expect to have left i really will have to start a spending diary i think. Glad it is working out for you :)

    littlekel,

Honestly, I couldn't live without my spending diary now and withdrawing cash out on a friday that has to last all week. It has completely changed he way I think about buying stuff. I get very cross when I have to spend on a card.

I have managed to put some money in DS#1 bank account, so hopefully he should be ok for a couple of days. Wish this bloody cloud of ash would go away:(.

Off to work I go. MM

    Have managed 2/8 so far!!
I have been reckoning up my debt busting since LBM in feb and on top of debt paid of loan & cc I have also paid £800 of my OD. I did not include OD in my total debt. OD was £1400 and at end of this month will be £600. I will pay £200 off next month as well, so I estimate by July I am hoping to be overdraft free:rotfl:!!
Bad news is sunday shift was normal shift not overtime, but i'm doing overtime next sunday now instead.:T

Off to play netball now. Everyone please keep fingers & toes crossed flights resume tomorrow, so my boy can get home!

Cheers Kayleighpea, I am determined to clear this debt!!! I just love paydays now, whereas before I always felt disappointed that i had no money left!

A major setback! DS#1's flight tomorrow from Faro is cancelled. BMI baby can't fly him back until 27th. Means we've had to book his hotel for another 7 nights plus credit his account with spending money for food etc. Luckily DH has funding most of it!!:p
DS#1 is quite cool about it:cool:, oh to be young again!

    Bye.

    Hey,

Bet DS is loving it, I would be!!! Sometimes I wish I was on holiday and not able to return, beats sitting here worrying about money :rotfl:Hope he is OK though.
